Curse and different spell damage bar1/bar2

If I use curse on bar 2, and swap to bar 1 which has far higher spell damage and wait for the spell to go off, which of the spell damage values is used?

I curse back bar. It seems to take the spell damage of the bar its on when it goes off.

but it uses the trait of the weapon that was on when you cast it - so if backbar has defending and fromt has sharpened - you cast from back-bar and switch to front - you get no benefit from sharpened.

If I'm backbar resto front bar Destro, will I get the benefit of the Destro passives when it goes off?
