Do you WANT Classchanges?

Ok, i made 2-3 threads about classchanges already, how much i want them, how much i think the devs are making a huge mistake in wanting to not bring them etc.

But now i want to ask some normal players, what they think about classchanges for this game. If the want it or not. If they think it would be good for the game or bad. If they would use it, and if so, if they would pay for it, and maybe have it on a "cooldown" for 1-3 months, because one of the biggest arguments against classchanges was "Oh but then you can change to the meta at any time" and stuff.

And to all people who want to say classchanges just make no sense... RACEchanges make absolute sense of course, to change your RACE it even for a fantasy game... hardcore. Still makes total sense to the Devs. But to change your class? To put it in another way, to kinda change you job? What you do with your abilities? Ye, absolutley IMPOSSIBLE in the eyes of the Devs, you cant change your job, what are you thinking? Instead, grow some Fur and become a Khajiit so you get that sweet 3m sneak-radius, if we wont let you become a nightblade but you like sneaking.

Oh, and one more thing, i HAD other classes, such as NB and Warden, but i want to only have 1 char, with which i do everything. My goal would be (if i dont quit) to get every achivement for instance, explore the entire map, get every skill and crafting, and if i would make more characters, i want that goal on every other char too, because im an abnormal sick perfectionist, and yes ik, thats just my problem, and thats why i want to know if i can hope for my biggest dream in this game to come true or just quit.
And the Devs wont tell us if it will ever come, they dont care, but you can, because ZO$ only changes things, if this things turn into an absolute riot. Sad ik, but well, thats ZO$ in a nutshell.

But enough of that, you can vote and write your opinion in here, it would really mean a lot to me.
Because one reason i make this thread is to see how many others want classchanges, and if we have a chance to convince the devs to bring them. As i said, if noone wants them, the Devs wont bring them, they already said they wont bring them by themselves, and i can just quit this game, because i can stop hoping and look for another MMO (if there will ever be a good one again...) But i like this game and i want to stay, and would pay quite the fortune in crowns to be able to change my class someday...
So i hope everyone that reads this at least votes, and if you care about the topic, write why you made your decision.

Class changes make a hell of a lot more sense than race changes ... think about it ...

Yes. And I want them to get rid of this awful Guild trader crap, add a necromancy skill line, and allow Console to PC transfers. But since ZOS lacks basic levels of common sense, we will likely never see these things.

I was aware of all the "Not this topic again..." Comments, but i will just ignore them, so dont even bother. But this one time, to anwer your question:
When we get Classchanges, then our asking for it will stop.
If you're annoyed by this because it gets brought up this often, it only shows that a few people already care more then i thought about this. owo

It literally takes 2-3 days of grinding for 2-3 hours a day to get to 50.

If you have already done storyline and all Dlc zones and quest then you should be power leveling all the alts you have now and in future.

Then skyshsrd hunt and do daily pledges for quests and you will have enough skill points for everything.

Plus you would lose the class that you already had and that would suck. Big time.

I just want to play my first character because I like her name and appearance, but I dont like stam dk playstyle. I dont care that its meta, I just dont like it. If I could change that char to a sorc or templar, I would be much happier.

I sympathize with wanting your "main" or only character to be what you want it to be.

I've been around(on and off) since beta, and my first character was a Templar, because you see, I wanted a paladin like stamina tank with a minor in magicka for utility. A cursory knowledge of this games mechanics obviously tells us that this didn't happen because there isn't really any such thing, more or less. From the time I hit level 50, I've wished I'd known that DK was the end all of tanking in this game because I sunk my appearance and name options that I wanted into that Templar.

But rerolls are a thing, and we can do it. If we're really THAT dissatisfied, we can even delete and start over, or name change this old character to apply it to a new one that will actually be what we want.

Re-roll is the way of the MMO and realistically just buying what you want your character to be once you've already sunk time into what it's not isn't that good an idea from a game health standpoint.

This and also missing "Yes, but it needs to be a crown store item" so that way people need to weigh-up whether changing their character's class is worth real money to do so or making a new character with that class is a more viable option despite having to level it.

I just dont see the point in changing class beyond being indecisive about play style and/or following the FOTM.

From a real world standpoint you make sense but from a gaming standpoint its opposite. In the real world changing jobs and how you complete things is common and easy, race change not so much. In the game race change is almost completely cosmetic with little effect on gameplay, class change however completely changes 3 whole skill lines that is the basis for most builds. The gameplay changes alot and a question arises; Do you get to keep experience from your first class into your skills of your second class? If no then people will complain about having to regrind after they just payed for it. If yes then the argument of realism backfires, after all why would you be so experienced in a job/class you have never done.

Personally i say avoid the extra headache of skill/experience manegment and just say no to class change tokens. Skill resets are annoying enough tyvm

I am against class and alliance changes. These are just wrong from my point of view. One does not simply wake up one day and forget that he is a sorcerer.

What would be nice is additional character slots. 14 is not good enough. We have 5 classes, if one would choose to have 3 chars of each class he would need at least 15 char slots.

For myself, I do not need class changes. I have several characters of each class already (though only one of them is chasing achievements). My characters all have different styles and goals.

For the game, I do not think class changes are healthy. People chase the FotM enough as it is with gear sets and skills, a class change would lower the diversity even more.

Well, the char I'd like to change is currently a meta class (khajiit dk), but I still want to change her.
Its easy enough to reroll, and many people do that for meta reasons (and as a healer, I absolutely hate when meta shifts to stamina, most of "meta jumpers" have no idea how to play it).

As for changing classes, imo its more plausible than changing races. Changing profession in real life is not unheard of, but I'm yet to see a person who suddenly became a cat or lizard.

Having a lot of chars is fun, but it has its downsides. For example, achievement hunting could've been fun, but I dont even have Cadwells helmet or more than 15k achievement points due to my altoholism (even though I've done pretty much everything in this game, except fishing and getting emp/high pvp ranks).

I thought about beginning completley new too, and doing everything again... but the game just isnt that much fun at the moment, to be worth replaying it ALL. How do i know this? ... Well, i tried with my NB, over half the story again, but it just didnt felt worth it again. Maybe it will in the Future, but to be honest, i think to make the game fun again (in multible fields), would be a LOT more work for them as just to give us Classchanges (even if they ARE hard to implement from what ive heard so far).

One other Idea that would satisfy me personally (I say this so noone else has to comment "But I dont want THAT duh!"), would be to make all Achivements Accountwide and not Characterbased. But i already thought about that, and i see that people dont like that idea a lot, because one char didnt made the Achivements the other one would have then....... even if YOU did them all, on one Account, and it actually would fit... if you read this, you can write your opinion on that topic too, maybe ill make another thread about that idea if some people are interested enough to discuss that too. =D

Edit: Oh, and i didnt made the Option "Yes, but you have to pay for it!" because... if they implement this, we WILL have to pay for it, like, a lot. As for the Racechange atm. Thats not even a discussion, thats just ZO$, we wont get ANYTHING free anymore with the "new" devs, which arent that new anymore.
And thats one point i dont understand why they didnt already implement it... they would make a metric Fckton of Muney from it. xD

Before my warden was at cp 160, i wanted it.

Now I still say give a 1 time class change option for people who have purchased Morrowind so they dont have to grind like crazy like I did.

I agree... level a new character, give it a cool name and interesting look, and if you ever get bored with the new character you can still go back to the old one and play with it, or create another.

You could even create 7 more characters (to have 2 of each class with one stamina and one magicka race) and start feeding their horses now so in 60 days you have max speed on all of them when you decide to give one a try, but lets not let things get out of hand...

Or... you can just keep asking for a class change that may never come.

But I like to tank and since it seems like zos refuses to make all classes be able to tank all content I can't use my favorite class as a tank effextively

I am a templar on my main... I'd love for them to give us more survivability more air cc options a better way to sustain resources

But they seem to refuse to do this ...

They won't even put any options in the skill trees like undaunted and fighter guild or mage guild to do this...

And the helm set with a pull isn't that great for anything with single target bosses no ads

So if they allowed me to switch my class I'd probably go dk or warden

I don't see why not. I don't need one since I have all the classes except warden and I don't care about them. But I don't see an issue with it.
