Maelstrom Arena Stage 6

Been bashing my head against the wall on this for hours: the cobwebs on the pillars don't always show up, meaning it is near impossible to keep track of which one needs to be bombed with the venom. I can rarely get a stun because I can't tell which one is actually clear and which one isnt.

Webs were showing fine for me yesterday on PS4 EU, have you logged out and tried again?

I don't know how many times you have done maelstrom, but the light when spiders come will only be on 1 pillar sometimes on 2 but the one that is more faded will dissappear very quick. So if you have 3 without web only 1 will have light on it. Just to make sure you did not think they were bugged and had cobweb on them.

Only the a spider that spawn sometimes can put web on the pillars, so of you keep killing it the Web will not respawn.

A good tactic is to uncover 4/5 and keep it that way throughout the stages, then in the boss stage have an ult ready, burn the boss spider boss a bit to about 60%, ideally until the big three add spawns, uncover the final one to stun everything, then drop ult and nuke into execute range. Keep track of which one is still covered and kill the spider that spawns to cover the others to keep them free after you have uncovered them.

I understand the mechanic with the glow, it's not what the problem is. It's that some obelisks that show up as unwebbed actually have a web on them, and I have to keep track of which ones I alrdy bombed to make sure I have a stun. It took me several rounds of running around in circles trying to figure out where the webbed obelisk that was preventing me from stunning the boss was, and the answer is that the web just simply doesn't show up on some. In the end, I had to memorize and track which ones I had bombed and proceed clockwise. It made a hard fight even more stupidly hard.

That happened to me as well a few times.

It IS a bug as all pillars will appear to be "unwebbed" but the are actually not.

Whenever this happens, I just quit vMA and let the instance reset (you need to start from Round 1). It is a pain, but might enable you to beat it much faster than trying ti remember the ones you cleared.

FYI i did beat it, but man was it a *** pain.
