Trial boss simulator.

I know some people would like to be able to save progress in trials but what if instead we had some kind of boss simulator that let's you fight any boss that you want at any time scaled to any level.

This would please me so much it would also get new low level members over the fears of not performing in trials and would help progression groups not waste time on fights they have down to a t just to get to that boss that wrecks your world.

It would also help separate normal mode from Veteran mode. Being able to lower boss dmg, health, ect...

Also I think some elite trial groups would like to see how hard they can make it. So that being said I believe it would benefit anyone who runs trials.

    You mean like this?

    https://eso.mmo-fashion.com/target-centurion-dwarf-brass/

    We already have it. :)

As for the scaling, we are all scaled to at least CP160, so we have that too.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Nothing like the centurion he stands still. More like a simulator that turns into the actuall fight.

Well you can practice in Craglorn trials, theyre easier than dlc ones.
Actual boss fight are hard to simulate since all difficult fights in the game have more to them than just a damage race. There are environmental hazards, aoes, etc. And often people die because they forgot their spot, exploded the group or something like this. So the only way to practice them is to actually fight them in their native environment. ;)
Some stuff can be practiced on normal dfficulty. People just need to slow down the dps and try to avoid mechanic-based damage, since it would kill them on vet.

And there's one more important thing if we're talking about fresh trial groups: panic and getting stressed can ruin even the best group setup. When I join training runs, and something goes wrong and people dont know what to do and start panicking, its a certain wipe. But sometimes you can save your group from a wipe when everyone is calm and focused.
Thats why I think its better to start practicing with actual bosses. Of course, you will wipe at first, but then you'll get used to mechanics and wont be stressed anymore.

thata an interesting idea op. one of my groups got stuck on rakkhat and its annoying trying to reach him to get practice. some simulator, maybe through writs and housing would make it cool

    The simulator is the trial.

As groups get better at the earlier bosses they will have more time to work on the boss their hunt up on.

Further, what op is asking is something that can be like any of 20 trial bosses. Soon it will add another 5 bosses and any combination of those 5 bosses together up to all 5.

So in the end working on the fights in the trials themselves works well since it helps to improve on the earlier bosses while working on the later bosses.

I have been through most of the trials I know the fights but it's getting so exhausting having to train new people and going through the struggles of having to just get to a boss to get practice on him if you struggle at all on any other bosses it takes hours. I guess if you could save group progress it would be ok too but I'm getting real tired of running them and not completing or even progressing. It's hard enough to get the same 12 people each week.

If you dps down a dummy that looks like a Rakkhat, it wont help you with killing the actual boss.
New groups often wipe on this boss because of the mechanics, for example, when someone exploded in group or when runners couldnt kill the shadows on the backyard. Or when half of the group gets cursed. Or when off-tank doesnt know about hulk's debuff. Synergy/beam phase can also be quite tricky if you cant skip it.
Then there are small floating bubbles, big stationary bubbles, meteors, etc... Rakkhat himself isnt even the main problem here. And I dont think a dummy could simulate all mechanics.

I don't want a dumb dummy lmao I was talking about a boss simulation of the actual fight. Maybe just load you into the room. It's a practice thing for players who struggle with a particular boss and don't want to complete the dungeon or fight ads.

Yes, this. Purchasing a Rakkhat portal with writ vouchers that would take your group into a Rakkhat only instance would be helpful. There are some groups that can only play for a limited time after work before kid or spouse aggro sets in. A portal into a twins or Ozara instance could be a useful tool.

I too would like a save mechanic. Without the changes to vMA, I don't think I would have ever had the time to grind levels 1-8 just to keep working on 9. Those of us in the sub 240k group DPS trials community could use some assistance in decreasing the daily time commitment needed to keep people interested and participating.

It's best to have most of the group experienced and a couple of three new at the trial when doing training runs.

For one thing, a simulation lacks the necessity to follow the mechanics. Who cares if I die because it's just a simulation.

If a group of players are struggling with the 3rd boss they're probably struggling some with the first two as well. They need experience on all ans once the early bosses are cleared effectively the group will be fresh when getting to the boss they're stuck on.

Hey, I have had concerns for moderate and causal groups the design of the game from the first trial.

When AA and HRC were launched there was only one version. No normal version. We had a cap on total rezes (either 24-36). One the group used up all the rezes that was it. You had to reset the instance and start over. It was like vitality except when it was used up you could not Rez anyone and could not start another pull.

To put that into perspective, a group new to the trial had at most 2 pulls since even at 36 rezes there will be some that get revived mid fight. Then reset and start on the first boss again.

Fortunately Zos doubled the total lives available and eventually did away with the cap. Both were good moves.

you missed my point entirely, im not saying beating on some rakkhat dummy look alike, theres a centurion dummy for that. why would my group waste time beating on some dummy doesnt fight back and not getting any practice on mechanics?

There should be an option to go into your housing and having the option lets say to go into a simulation that replicates the exact mechanics, room and boss, of rakkhat. runners could get practice in the backyard without having to go into the trial itself. dying wouldnt degrade your armor or cost soul gems. get instant practice whenever you want.

if coding and such doesnt allow that, i understand, but it would be a nice option to practice harder bosses from vmol snd vhof

You do realize that what you are asking for would be the most complex item in the crown store. 100k to 200k crowns. Probably not worth the effort for how many would sell.

again, people are not reading posts smfh...

as my last paragraph states, yea if coding and such is impossible or difficult, completely understandable. would nice to have to option. oh well shrugs

Can we please stick to the topic of discussion? Not say why I need to train on a boss who I have beat 500 freaking times.
