Optimal Dual Wield trait combination

Hello,
I was informed today that Infused trait does increase enchantment power by 30% for the enchant on the weapon with the infused trait, however the 50% cooldown reduction works for both enchants no matter if mainhand or offhand weapon is infused.

We are talking now about end-game PvE optimised group with Sunderflame,NMG and Alkosh present. A question for some math expert, I need to compare this two options:
1. The most commonly used: Infused (with poison damage glyph) mainhand + Precise (with WD glyph) offhand
2. Nirnhoned (with poison damage glyph) mainhand and Infused (with WD glyph) offhand

Cooldown on poison damage and weapon damage glyphs is reduced in both cases. So will 30% damage increase on poison enchant along with 3,5% critical make up for raw 200 weapon damage and 30% increase for weapon damage glyph?

Thanks for answer.

Always infused main hand since that enchant will proc more often when weaving HA/LA with other skills, not necessarily from the 2W weapon line. It's also known to influence the enchant potency if vMA weapons are run on the back bar.
For the offhand nirnhoned is not ideal, since it has less contribution to your spell and weapon damage than the main hand. Precise and sharp are better since they do contribute equally. The former when fully debuffed, the latter when some resistance is still present on the target. For example precise will be better in a well coordinated trial 12 man group that can strip most resistance from targets, but sharp will still be slightly better when running solo or in a 4 man group.

For Duel-Wield ganking its Weapon damage enchant main-hand infused. Off-hand has flexibility depending on playstyle. Infused Oblivion if you light attack a lot, or charged disease for major defile (more uptime along with incap), or nirn/sharp.

since he has NMG Sunderflame and Alkosh running, there's no need for a sharp offhand weapon. If I'm not mistaken hes on approx 300-500 Resistance left on the boss, so get rid of them with CP. Sharp would be an overkill.

I'd recommend you the first Option: Inf poison, Precise WD.

If you're not completly sure which works out better for you, just grab soome friends (raidmembers) and test it on a targetdummy with all you supportsets running.

Disease enchant does very little damage because it has to be balanced with the utility it provides - major defile - which reduces the healing received by the target. But there are very few examples of self healing enemies in PvE and most of those healing sequences need to be interrupted in other ways anyway. Poison enchant is a DoT so it will benefit from both Mighty and Thaumaturge CP so overall the damage is much higher.

Its about the status effect that each one inflicts. In addition to the initial damage all of the special damage types have a chance to cause a status effect. Disease damage causes defile, which reduces healing taken. Poison causes the Poisoned status effect, which is a reasonably strong DoT effect. Because of this, poison glyphs will always result in higher damage than Disease glyphs.

Are you sure Poisons work with Infused? I'm pretty sure anything is better than sharpened, including precise and even charged.

Use your CP to get the Pen you waste it on a sharpened weapon.

It's not consumable poisons, but rather the Poison glyph. The former are actually used this patch, but from the back bar Malestrom bow, more specifically double ravage health poison. And Nirnhoned on main hand is better this patch, since previously infused main hand on front bar actually buffed back bar Maelstrom weapons, since the special effect was an enchant. It has been changed to a set bonus, just like Master and the new Asylum weapons, so infused is no longer that good, except in pure single target parses. And even there it's only marginally better than Nirnhoned. Since Nirnhoned increases all your damage, because it adds weapon and spell damage, it's better. So Nirnhoned main hand with either sharpened (if not penetration capped) or precise (if penetration capped) on off hand is the best trait combo for 2W.
