@logarifmik just an FYI you get Edetic Memory regardless of choice. The Choice is basically save an NPC which doesn't have any impact on future game story (yet) or get 2 SP free. Which is kind of why it was a terrible choice unless you're a roleplayer.logarifmik wrote: »You can just ignore books, like IRL, you know. I use Eidetic Memory, because I don't always have time to read books during the quest or I just don't want to read them right now, so it allows me to read them later. Again, if you are not interesting in reading at all, just pick another option. Give Valaste to Sheogorath instead and have your Folium Discognitum, which give you 2 skill points. Poor Valaste, though...
You get the memory thing even if you sacrifice Valaste.logarifmik wrote: »Again, if you are not interesting in reading at all, just pick another option. Give Valaste to Sheogorath instead and have your Folium Discognitum, which give you 2 skill points. Poor Valaste, though...

Didn't know about that. Thank you, comrades! All the time I've saved Valaste from the torture of the Mad God, that's why I was wrong about other choice aftermath. I hope, that in future Valaste will play her role again. And I'm a roleplayer, yes.SydneyGrey wrote: »You get the memory thing even if you sacrifice Valaste.
Although I will be annoyed, I hope one day they make content which reflects that choice and bites you in the butt.logarifmik wrote: »logarifmik just an FYI you get Edetic Memory regardless of choice. The point is those who want to reread something can go back and do so.
Not everything rewarding in life has to be a title or achievement.
What is the point of it? Does it get me an ultimate achievement? Can I learn to break bricks with the power of my mind after reading all these books? Will I get some cool title or something? Why am I bothering to read all these books?

Also, you aren't "giving" her to Sheo. You are letting her go where she wants to go and where she deserves to be. By forcing her against her will to be "cured" you are punished by not getting the best reward. You are also condemning her to the sad life she had before Uncle Sheo sped up the crazy that was already in her.
