An Idea to Cut Down on Loading Screens

Many a player has found themselves staring at a loading screen for 2, 5, 30 or even more minutes at a time and while I wont begin to understand how ZOS might be able to reduce load times there may be other ways to at the very least reduce the annoyances that are the long loading times.

Some loading screens are necessary and cannot be avoided like loading into the game from character selection, and due to the games structure switching between zones, but are all of them necessary? When we die and choose the respawn at wayshrine we very often are put into a loading screen before popping up next to said wayshrine. While fine for the most part, every once in a while the loading screen stretches on for a lot longer than it really should. If you are in Cyrodil this long respawn time is almost guaranteed if there is a decent size fight near the keep or camp at which you are trying to spawn. Sometimes this could mean a second death before the loading screen is even gone due to you spawning in for others, or else missing out on some good combat and the fun of participating in a siege. And in the fast paced fighting of Battlegrounds we need to be able to spawn in quicker to assist our team, a long loading screen is a huge detriment to the entire Battleground experience.

We need a way to avoid this respawn loading screen beyond just waiting for a rezz from someone. I suggest that ZOS implement an animation that, once the respawn location has been selected, has the characters body dissolve into a ball of light and shoot through the land towards the respawn area, increasing in speed based on distance to target. Enemies (or just everyone alive in general) would be unable to see this ball of light but will see the body disappear. When the ball of light reaches the wayshrine/camp it rematerializes into the character using a similar animation to being hit by a lich crystal. No loading screen, no long loading times, just a "travel time" which personally I would prefer to looking at the ESO symbol spin for 10 mins

Along side the respawn loading though is another strange annoyance with loading screens, going through doors without leaving the instance. I specifically refer to the Imperial City districts and sewer areas on this one. The districts are all in one instance or atleast are not considered being in a new zone so why is there a loading screen when using the doors? A removal of these loading screens and others throughout ESO that involves a small movement to another area needs to occur. A slightly longer black screen would be preferable, or some kind of animation. Atleast a black screen wont have you staring at a (very beautiful and well done) painting for half an hour

I'm getting to the point where I'm just going to boycott loading screens anymore.

I'm going to start refusing to use them.

    Who is with me?

Seriously, They're starting to vex me most surely, and it's wearing on my desire to play after a few minutes.
It's becoming easier to find other stuff to play lately.
The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

    1. Post on the forums
    2. Post the question on ask us anything
    3. Repeat items 1&2 monthly

I was unsuccessful on both pc and Xbox one using sharpened objects so hopefully items 1-3 help resolve things for you and others.

Edit: I read this as asking how to cut down on loading screens not otherwise sorry.

This must be a PvP thing because it is all but impossible to die in PvE.

    I know, I've tried....

Someone in my guild said it was from Master Merchant and even ZOS had admitted this causes load screens, our leader was getting load screens in Cyro and asked us to switch off MM, and VIOLA no more long load screens

So if you are in Cyro turn off MM addon and you shouldn't get many load screens

No MM addon here and recently i started experiencing extremely long loading screens on BGs. One time i got kicked cause "i was inactive". Of course i was inactive when i had to wait about five minutes (and i died practically near my graveyard, which makes it even more ridiculous)
