WHY are the horses in this game so incompetent and stupid? Why is there even a jump button if they have such difficulty jumping over the simplest of obstacles? Why are there invisible walls keeping me from crossing reasonably-scalable rock formations? Instead I have to run ALL THE WAY AROUND to get up to where I need to go. That's an extra 15-30 seconds I could've spent moving forward. Not to mention the number of times I've DIED because the horse magically LAUNCHED us up into the air in the opposite direction, where we promptly slammed into the ground and died.

I hate horses.

    Anything forcing us to jump, climb, up, down and around is meant to make the game zones feel bigger and deeper. If we could just run from A to B straight, we would soon complain that the zones are so small.

    This still drives me crazy and gets me killed in PvP. Oh I wish they could fix it.

    That's because mounts are full of crowns! They're too heavy to jump!

    Ever been running along a wall during a keep defense and all of a sudden your character full-stops because there's an extra brick and it's just not possible to lift your foot that high, whatever shall you do? Just stand here I guess. You can't jump over it, either, you have to back up a step and then jump over it.

    It's not just the horses. We're novice-level runners too.

    It was totally appropriate though. I always scream in agony too when that happens.

    I just wish they could swim. The horses are so traumatized by ankle-deep water that they actually discorporate in fear.
    I'm ok with their jumping ability.

    Oh god, that's even worse. I HATE when I have to cross a river and the horse constantly bails out over a kiddie pool. Then that deeper portion of the water only stretches a few feet, so I have to call the horse right back. I'm convinced the developer do this to be annoying.

    happens a lot less.

    When creating Vvardenfell, I think the map designers were more careful to put in multiple pathways, so that there are fewer areas where you must travel a long distance to get around a hill.

    I'm glad any time they tone down exaggerated sound effects, but that change made me so happy I did the butt-wiggle chair happy dance and then my PC jumped off everything for a while. :)

    I've done the MQ since then though, and it's a little too bad the terrified scream is gone when you drop into the Path of Scorned during Castle of the Worm. I'm very sure that would be scream-worthy.
