Never used it was thinking about using it on my stamblade with hundings and velidreth. Anybody ever tried this and would it still keep my dps up?

A very good set but I recommend going 1/5/1 as you will be pretty low on health if you go full medium. You lose about 2K health if you go with Dubious Camoran Throne compared to dual stat health & stamina food.

I've found that it is best (and more fun!) to try out and test things.

People are very helpful here and most advice is good and given in good faith but it is always tailored to each owns playstyle.

I remember following advice a couple of years ago and spending a lot of time and gold on the set-up only to find that it didn't suit my play style even tho it was BiS at the time. Lesson learned.

Use the purple drink Asardes listed, but go with 7 pc. medium. If you stam dps, always 7pc. medium. Check the passives for medium armor if you have any doubt about that. You will immediately notice a speed increase and better stealthing in all medium too. Your other set depends upon if you pvp or pve. Hundings great for pve (and not too bad for pvp either, but can do better for pvp), and it's craftable.

It is great set for managing resources and for building some sort of hybrid, as you can use witchmother potent brew for more mag resources.

But yeah, i use it with dubious camoran throne and it really boosts sustain. That way i can slot pure dps & monster set and not to worry about sustain

As a dps wise, bone pirate should help you keep your sustained dps up for longer, without the need of spamming constant heavy attack

For pvp it's good. For PvE? Depends on what your goal is, but you're dps isn't going to be very high. There's not a lot of solo content for pve in this game so there not many situations where it's useful.

I like it on my stamblade in pvp magic regen is low which is the only thing i dont like.

Good in Pvp but not good for pure PVE DPS not good, ok if just running around doing quests etc.

Or just slot VO instead and have he insane sustain but with Minor Slayer on top...

Hunding is very good. People really underestimate how important critical is even in PvP. First it also affects healing so your rally and vigor will tick harder. Second, for high tool tip skills scoring a crit still hits hard. Having a full set of gold impenetrable only grants about 1800 critical resistance, which is about 27%. So it may only remove 1K off a crit from a hard hit.
