If dead NPCs lying dead everywhere bother you, don't visit Kvatch.
Too many dead npcs in Vivec City. Zos, Please broaden the range and methods to obtain these "pickpocket only" items. I'm not even trying to get them, I'm just sick of all the corpses. Thanks.

We have been told that the Morag Tong is now officially back in business.
So, the Night Mother is mightily displeased, and this *** of killing is just a turf war, assassin style.
One could speculate that at some point in the near future a Dark Brotherhood Silencer will be tasked to kill a certain senior member of the Morag Tong. Now, there's a red dialogue choice to look forward to.
QED. No loss of immersion. It's all within the narrative of the game ( and even if it turns out that this isn't true it's still an explanation that is very easy to believe for now).

We could go with less Dunmer in Tamriel anyways

The Dark Brotherhood only kill those who have been directly targetted through the performance of the Black Sacrament. The Morag Tong only kill those who have been directly targetted through Contracts sanctioned by the highest echelons of the Great Houses.
There is no turf war. These arent some street thug.
