Major Inventory Glitch

I've rebooted, reinstalled and deleted my saved data but the inventory slots for my weapon, armor and jewelry are completely missing from my warden:( I can't access any armor on this guy and I've been trying to track down a few pieces I want to use on my Pet Sorc.

This is on Xbox 1 NA server. I believe this guy didn't have any armor, weapons, or jewelry equipped prior to the patch. Morrowind is installed and everything is up to date.

Please send help!

Bumping. Is anyone from ZOS atleast going to acknowledge this problem? I can't even play this character because I can't equip anything on him! What am I paying 15 dollars a month for??

Ok this may be very stupid suggestion, but have you tried killing some mob and looting some piece of gear and maybe it will unlock these slots?
(not console player but i remember this was the case, but that usually happens to new characters that never acquired the gear they were missing)

Yeah, I ran around for about ten minutes or so trying to do that and wayshrining to different areas with no luck.

OK, following my stupid suggestion. Have you tried buying some normal pieces of armor (obv for your level) from vendor?

So, I did go back and try this last night and it did indeed force those categories to show up. Instead of buying the armor, I went into the my bank and pulled out a piece of each category.

If you don't have any of those items in your inventory, the slots won't show up..

So you need to get some weapons/ jewelry into your inventory BEFORE the ability to slot them appears

Yes they do. This was a fully leveled character prior to the patch. Those slots show up as soon as the character picks up the item. This character had a full set of armor on last month but I dumped his inventory and left him naked. Once the patch hit, all of those slots disappeared; they should not have disappeared. Even ZOS's customer service couldn't explain why.

If you DO NOT have weapons in your inventory the inventory slot DO NOT appear. There is nothing in your inventory to slot, so they aren't there. A simple fix will be yo get LITERALLY ANY WEAPON into your inventory and the slot will appear.

They certainly have on Xbox... And if that was the case, you would think their customer service would tell you that. I mean... And yet, I went through three or four reps who all tried to walk me through fixing it... Sooo....

This is not a glitch. As you, yourself have stated you don't even have anything in your inventory. This kind of crap is EXACTLY was ZOS is so overwhelmed with bug reports and can't actually fix the real issues in the game. This isn't a "major bug" this is a case of a player either trolling or being willfully ignorant of how the game work. As I have just said exactly how to solve your issue and you refute the answer to your problem with zero investigation.

Actually, I never disagreed with your solution to my issue. I disagreed that the issue was a non-issue. I've played this game going on three years. I've maxed up 8 characters and stripped probably all of them of armor atleast once. In fact, the patch before this I stripped my nightblade of her monster set and yet her slots stayed as they should.

They probably assumed they were speaking to a person and not a potato. Put the items into your inventory FIRST. Then it will solve your problem.

Hopefully to not add to any argument, but I noticed as well, that recently, if you do not have an item type in your inventory, the option does no longer appear. similar to how a skill line will not appear until certain conditions are met. I thought it odd at first but discovered the correlation when moving things around from my mule to my bank. as soon as I deposited the last ring in her inventory to the bank, the ring option no longer appeared. another example is with disguises/tabards. when none of those item are in there, I do not have that menu option. Perhaps this change took effect in a recent patch. note; I have been playing on xbox for about 2 years now as well.

Yeah, I know that happens on new characters. But I have never had it happen on established characters. And this particular character did have staves on them, they just weren't equipped. The weapon slots wouldn't show up until I added another weapon from my bank.

that is definitely weird then. as, with my example, even if the item cant be equipped (ie. cp160 on my lvl4 mule) it still showed the option. Then again, after the most recent update, everything got all screwy for me. from losing multiple chat functions to banked items not appearing until I removed or added another item. maybe its related to this banking type issue. in that scenario, I would go into the bank, split an item (say repair boxes) and only 1 half of the split would show. but if I pulled any item out, the missing split would return.

That's weird. I ran around on this character for ten minutes picking up drops and nothing would ever pop back up until I went to a vendor and bought a head piece. Then I tried my bank and was able to get everything to come back. I think part of the issue is that he didn't have anything equipped prior to the patch. I know he had two Martial Knowledge staves on him because those both came back locked when I got it to work again. But I don't really know if anything else had been in there before the patch because like I said, I ran around picking up drops for ten minutes. I didn't pay attention to all the pieces that i picked up.

I have had stuff disappear after I put them in my bank... They usually reappear in 15 minutes or so.

I don't put anything beyond the realm of possibility anymore when it comes to eso, especially after a patch/update.

Yeah, going back and reading, I think what Combobreaker missed is that I ran around and picked up loot. That's what should have brought those slots back but they never would reappear that way. I had to actually buy something or pull it from my bank. I shouldn't have to do that. That is the glitch. But I can see how that could have easily been missed.
