ESO need a faster and more fluid combat

The combat after Morrowind and especially after HOTR become to slow . Also the gap between the hard content and the rest of it has increased. Our damage was nerfed and also the combat was nerfed. Many people are not doing trials or veteran dungeons because of this nerfs and also because the combat is so slow....

We need a faster and more fluid combat.

    Most of the people capable of farming vma got the gear they needed years ago and have no reason to go back. ESO combat is extremely fast paced if your animation cancelling correctly.

    But I do agree. Animation cancelling as a part of the game design is lame. I'd prefer global cds like wow.

    And I'm glad that they didn't fix it. Without animation cancelling and after all these sustain nerfs in Morrowind ESO combat would be even more slower and boring than it already is.

    The only thing I think they should do is add an ability chain tutorial to the in game manual. Other than that, i am pretty happy where it is.

    Has anyone here tried BDO? The abilities are long but you become invincible for 0.3 or 1.7 for instance, however long it takes the animation to complete. It's a very interesting system. Anima cancelling may not be intended but every build online is designed around it.

    I don't see how the game should have become slower with HotR. Light attack builds still do 2 actions per second and heavy attack builds 1. Sustain didn't get nerfed either. I don't get your point at all.

    I personally do more DPS now, but I guess that's nothing you can generalize.

    The combat is slow because ZoS intentionally made it that way with sustain changes. They aren't gonna bring the fun fighting back

    You can still weave mostly light attacks instead of heavies if you run a recovery mundus and/or consumable. And there is a cooldown on abilities. I think it's about 0.8s or so. Just look at some of the top players doing vMA on stamina builds and see how fast they actually are.

    animation cancelling is what did this to begin with.

    speed up animations and abilities so that if you tried to animation cancel you'd end up not only fail, but burn resources heavily.
    when you cancel something you STOP doing it, not follow through faster.

    Wrong. They never said it was a broken mechanic. They admitted it was a non-intended mechanic, and they never tried to fix it, because and I quote "its not game-breaking". So either get used to it, or move on.
