Embeded forum images no longer show in Firefox!

After some recent forum updates all embedded images appear as 84328fvd8.jpg or similar.
This is with the latest firefox, running in safe mode (all addons disabled).
Works in IE. Also if you block the embedded syndication scripts the page won't load at all (blank background).
