For example Scythes or Sickles.
How likely is it for these two to make it into the game?
I don't know much about Elder Scroll lore and which weapons are possible and which are not.
Maybe you can enlighten me?

All the weapons here, are basically what everyone wants in the game...also hand-to-hand (fists). Most notably is crossbows, fists, spears, halberds (my fav weapon), throwing weapons, and they also want to be able to use a sword in one hand and magic in the other (that was datamined, and is in the code [found during morrowind testing], so people want it).
On the topic of scythes and sickles, tho they probably wouldn't add a huge scythe to the game, the soul-shriven motif makes their axes become sickles, and the battleaxe become a scythe with two blades: http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Soul-Shriven_Style as you can see here.

Extremely unlikely. It has nothing to do with lore and everything to do with animation being one of the most resource-intensive aspects of game design.
The issue is - creating new animations amd assets is insane work - they have to produce these weapons for every set AND it will reduce rng chances even further...so very unlikely...what i rather like to see is additional skill lines using existing weapons that can be unlocked by any class....for example 1h +rune for magicka melee, necromancy pet line, a bard buff debuff line etc...
I hope for new weapons at some point but I doubt it will happen. (mainly because of what @Nemesis7884 has said) Should they still do it I think they would introduce weapons from the other elder scrolls games that fans wan't back. Like they did with the Dawnguard DLC for Skyrim. So crossbows, throwing weapons and polearms I guess.

The soul shriven axes are pretty close, both 1h and 2h.
If they put a new weapon in the game I hope it comes with new animations and characteristics. A spear or pole-arm would be great, the way one uses a spear isn't like the way other 2h weapons are used in this game, nor if you had a pilum and shield.
I really liked the way spear animations were done in Nier: Automata, would love something like that in this game.
seeing as scythes and sickles were never used as weapons in anything besides very high fantasy games ( most notably asian games ), or interesting folktales about the grim reapers, i dont see it as a possibility, however i do agree with the halberds and etc, and hope they also release alteration, conjuration, and illusion staves
I don't know why polearms aren't already a thing. They already have spears and the animations in the game. Go to the fighters guild in Skywatch in Auridon and you see npc's training with them. Not to mention we have the aedric spear skill. I could maybe see that as the reason polearms aren't a weapon but still seems... strange.
