Werewolf Question

When I am in my Werewolf form, will my skills on the bar level up?

I'm a stamDK running 5 random skills from class tree and S&B skill line. I have my ulti on my S&W bar. When I transform to Werewolf, will the bar which had the werewolf ult level up?

Okay, strictly speaking, the way you asked the question, yes. Unfortunately, when you transform, you actually switch to a third skill bar. So, only the abilities you have slotted as a wolf will advance.

This should be active since only the skills on the active bar benefit from the XP.

couple of quick notes on werewolf: I believe it takes 250 kills to reach level 10...another couple of hundred though to max all your morphs...

costs a lot of skill points to run your wolf...22 or so I think...

    Exactly.

Off hand, I thought it was 225 kills. Anyway, a neat trick, though there isn't as much point to it now, is, you can still slot your werewolf abilities on your normal skill bars and advance them that way. You can't use them. But they will gain XP and advance.

I've had my non-werewolf skills level up while in werewolf form.

Also, in case you didn't know, you can put your ww abilities on your regular ability bar and they will level up. You won't be able to use them, but they will still level.

AFIAK, there are only a few ways this can happen.

Your equipment may still gain XP while wolfed out. I'm not 100% sure on this. Your weapon and armor stats are still relevant while transformed, but your enchantment (or, I assume poison, if you have one slotted) do not.

EDIT: additionally, all of your non-wolf passives "turn off," while transformed. For example: this means, if you're using DW, your twin blade and blunt bonuses will go away, as will your off hand bonus damage. If you have heavy armor, conditioning turns off. Most hilariously, this means the Intimidate passive turns off, so you can't scare people into submission by transforming into a nine foot tall snarling deathbeast.

So if you have a sword and board in human form, your armor while be higher, but your damage will be lower than if you had a 2h equipped. With this in mind, don't wolf out on a bow bar. Just, seriously, don't. There's a similar issue with DW. If you're a wolf DPS, 2hs are your friend.

Skill lines with fixed, or full XP progression can advance while transformed. What I mean is skills like Fighters Guild, Undaunted, Mages Guild, or (theoretically) Soul Magic can advance while transformed. Alternately, skill lines like your racial passives or (if you could still have both at the same time, Vampire) would also advance, because those consider your total XP earned, not your currently equipped skills.

Outside of that, Class Skills shouldn't level up while wolfed out. If they are, then that's a weird bug.

    Are you sure?

That's not me being passive aggressive by the way. For a long time it would actually blank the passives from your character sheet (as in set it so they were unpurchased and you could buy them again), so it was easy to tell what stayed on and what turned off.

As far as I know, your weapon and armor passives do turn off.

Your set bonuses remain active. That's never changed. And, you get a massive bump to your weapon damage and armor stat, so it can be kinda hard to tell what's modifying your stats elsewhere.

Armor passives work, Race passives work, class passives that don't require slotting or using a class skill line ability work, poisons work, enchants work, alliance war passives work-ish(Can't rez, can't gain ulti).

Yeah, I should probably clarify, Armor enchants do work. Used to be, weapon enchants did not (I tested this extensively), though as with passives, this could have been fixed sometime in the last year and a half.
