- to make them a viable PVP melee dps weapon line. compare them to the thudding sounds of the 2hand line- or the impactful dizzying swings- those are impressive skills. and in the dual wield we have swift animations , sounds that are like the wind- whereas in the one hand shield line the sounds are tinny - they sound like me hitting on my tin can with a stick.
the animations are also uninspired
- low slash is currently the dps spammable - and its lame.
- puncture/ransack is an okay animation but needs more impact in the sound- more emphasis on the point of contact.
-reverb is actually fine.
- the gap closer - nobody uses- this could do with a buff- the fact that most players use a 2hander to buff rally- gap close- then weapon swap is a clear flaw in this weapons skill line. a well made gaming system should allow us to use a weapon like a discipline- and be covered in it .
- the absorb one is for tanks and all that - fine. but perhaps it could be a stamina versions of entropy where it gives a buff and some healing so we dont need the weapon swap from 2handers.
- the ultimate is necessary for some classes. fine
i get that some will say- well 1hS is for tanking- but it should nt just be that- in every game - wearing a sword and shield is for a warrior who wants the best of both worlds- to attack and defend - in this game if you dont have class skills like jabs or claw- ur a tank. the weapon skills seriously need a rethink here.
ZOS has done well to date with balance changes- the one id like to see is for 1hand and shield to be fun, viable and useful in dps for pvp and even pve. i simply like wearing a shield and sword- but dont want to be kicked cos I'm not a tank- so in summary- make it better, sound better and look better. thanks for your time
