What exactly is "sneaky"? It looks very CLEARLY marked. If you are looking for sneaky, there are far better places. This isn't one of them

I'm right in the middle on this. Not sneaky but obviously a business tactic. price a package at a significantly lower price than individual but the purchase method (crowns) requires a larger commitment in order to take advantage of the deal...of course, if this is your only crown purchase ever then it seems unfair but if its one of many, then you'll use the remaining crowns no problem.

Your right, the difference in cost was obviously nothing to do with forcing to purchase the 5500 crowns, number 1 customer right there

This is a very good example of what happens when MMO's begin the casual transition. You begin to see more and more threads regarding cash shop "pricing". Its usually around y3-5 that the CC warriors/casuals settle in. Im glad we are still in the "gear, skill rotation, BIS" phase where actual game play requires you know what you are doing (albeit less and less).

Just an observation of course.

ZOS should charge you at the maximum price as long as they can.

ZOS is in the business of making money, don't know that I would call it sneaky.

I only have an issue with the ridiculous cost of a name change, which has nothing to do with how good or bad your character performs. I am on PS4 and when I started, our character names did not even display to other players, so it did not matter how stupid or inane your characters name was.

Now we have no choice about whether it is displayed or not but have to pay to change it - we should have been given one free name change per character when the game started displaying them.

And before anyone suggests it - I am not deleting a 9 trait crafter who knows dozens of styles and hundreds of recipes, or a Hero of Tamriel who has completed Cadwells silver and gold, just to roll new ones with 'better' names.

3000 for race change, 2500 for name change, 3500 for both, 5500 to do it on individual basis...

That 2000 difference between doing separately and in the one go, justify the cost.

Seems some are missing the point here, a name and race change is 3500 crowns, you can only buy crowns in 3000 or 5500 so to change race and name you are forced into buying the bigger crown package.

This word seems to be causing you some confusion.

You don't have to buy crowns. If you're ESO+, you can save your monthly crowns. If not, you can choose to put up with your name/race, reroll or buy crowns. Lots of options.

Or just buy 5500 pack because it is cheapest per crown, use 3500, and then save the 2000 remaining for your next purchase. Buy crowns when you don't have enough or stock up when on sale. I stock up when on sale.

Pretty much any game with such a system has offerings which don't exactly match the purchase bundles.

It would not make sense to have everything in multiples of 5500.

I would think Appearance atleast for Eso+ but most games still make you pay for name changes with a sub.
