Battle Roar resource return, base cost or actual cost?

When the Dragon Knight passive "Battle Roar" triggers, is the resource-per-ult-point return based on the original cost of the ultimate or the actual points spent after reduction from passives/gear?

For example: Sorcerers get 15% passive ult cost reduction / Akaviri Dragonguard grants 15% ult cost reduction. So when Battle Roar procs on Shield Wall, will it return 100 ultimate worth of resources? or 85?

    Base. meteor (200) and vampire (138) ulti gives same amount of resorces.

    ZOS destroyed this passive with Morrowind. I still think it should scale out of ultimate used. Based on character level is pure ***.

    It still scales off ultimate (base) cost. It no longer scales off maximum resources.

    Thank you for answer. I'm a little confused by the Vampire 138 thing. How come the vampire ultimate costs 138?

    That was what I was supposed to mean, but wrote it wrong. Still think they should revert Battle roar to its previous state

    Higher Vampire Stage decreases cost of your Vampire skills , including Ultimate . I know it doesn't say in Vampire skill tree . You need to go to your Character Screen and look for the Vampire buff . It shows there .

    The base cost for the Vampire ultimate is 200. With Stage 4 Vamprism you get a 21% cost reduction which reduces this to 158 plus another 10% reduction from something else would get you to 138.

    I see, that's good to know; thanks all for the reply.

    I was afraid that by equipping Akaviri Dragonguard, I may be able to pop ultimates sooner and more frequent, but net a small resource return due to the 15% cost reduction. But from what you guys say, the return will remain at full.

    About this, while I was in game I noticed that the base-cost of Bat swarm is in fact 275, and I'll still need stage 4 to bring it down to 200. So how does the cost become 138?

    I know this is a somewhat off-topic, but I am honestly still a little unsure about whether battle-roar gives resources back in relation to ultimate base-cost or the actual amount spent to cast the ability. I'm getting conflicting answers from different sources and it affects the gear-set I'll use for my build so I'd really like to be certain.

    Be really grateful if someone could clear this up with certainty.

    It is 100% the base cost, before reduction.

    I have tested this with addons on PC.

    Where are you seeing the base cost being 275? The raw game data (see http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoSkills) gives it as 200.

    So it looks like the base cost of Bat Swarm ultimate depends on its level:
    • 1 = 275
    • 2 = 250
    • 3 = 225
    • 4 = 200

    The base cost of all levels of its morphs is 200.
