You can do what ever you want and play how ever you like, but just don't expect every combo would be functional.

Yes you can be redguard magsorc, but the passives won't benefit you. Overland PvE and vet pledges can be done pretty much with any setup, but if you want to be on top lists of anything, you're gonna have to think your choices twice.

@Olen_Mikko thanks for the valuable info I want to be different I guess so I have already a redguard magic based sorcerer and I have a high elf magic based sorcerer. Both of these characters are on lvl 48 and the only thing I notice is the high takes the enemies down slightly faster. However the reguard with the stamina moves out the way quicker. I want to focus on one character still undecided just wanted some input from fellow gamers

I like that you're just doing what you want. I say get it! In the end if you decide you're happier with the performance of your high elf for magicka, your redguard would make a great stamsorc.

Certainly an Altmer magsorc is more optimized but it depends if that is your goal. I choose the race for any character I play simply by selecting Bosmer. Non-negotiable for role play reasons. Lol.

My Bosmer magsorc is primarily built to solo. She runs Julianos/Necropotence/Thief/Matriarch/Clannfear. While we have no interest in PvP or veteran stuff, she can solo most WB and easily solo dolmens.

I personally run a bosmer Magblade in PvP(still got 45k magica)

Im PvP it can be Handy to have 1.3k stam recovery as a mag build(saves my life about 20 times a day in PvP)
I compared my ice Comet tooltip with a Altmer sorc buddy and it s only 600 less then his(18300) and i can take a Lot more stunns then he can.
It has its advantages but don't try doing any endgame pve with that in PvP it's actually pretty nice

Been rocking a magica Templar, bought crowns today switched to a stamplar and changing my stam DK to a magica one who is redguard... I plan on tanking with the extra redguard stam bonus for blocking, who knows it might work.

You'll be able to flip to stam sorc pretty easy, thats a nice option to have.
