no ep is willing or even capable of playing on Sotha sil

On sotha sil there is the strong D.C. Faction, an average ad faction and a single ep guild. I'd like to say that we have a faction here but there isn't. I've asked many an ep guild from Vivec and shor but all that have entered have wiped faster than a naked pug raid front dooring a last emp keep. Besides my guild the only ones to survive and actually play well have been animosity. Besides that , what has happened to the strong pvpers on our faction who enjoy a good fight? Who enjoy being the underdog? Who enjoy winning while being outnumbered? They either quit or just gave up who they were and settled for Zerg surfing on vivec . a campaign we've won like 4 times in 5 months because of the fact we outnumber the other factions severely at late night and early morning. OR worse they've settled for morning capping and gate camping on shor. If you feel this is wrong or heinous, PROVE ME wrong. Remember who we are , we are ep we can fight and win the ONLY campaign not in our favor, but beware only the strong can survive here.

Uh...DL and PTS are both homed there. We can't all play 24x7 on account of jobs and spouses, but when we are there, good PvP happens. EP is outnumbered, yes. Berating EP for that and ignoring the guilds that help keep the map somewhat viable is not a good strategy for making it better.

He's not wrong.

That said we routinely have a group up from PTS of anywhere between 5-10 folks. If there isn't I start one when I get on (later evening usually). We aren't all L33T, but we're there.

The blue blob farmed out the PuGs so you don't see many EP casuals in there anymore. It could use another good guild or two to anchor it so people come back and it's even.

All salt aside, great work last night, EP. PTS had 20 in group last night and it was the best red map Sotha's seen in a long, long time! We had everything from Drake to Alessia to Ales to Dragon. Lots of folks showed up last night across the board who I hadn't seen in a long time, someone even had an open PuG group running. Good PVP folks. That's what it takes.

Of course it's no surprise the jobless, family-less, uneducated ingnants use their indigent life status to log off once the numbers get even and PVdoor the map back when responsible citizens are resting or contributing to society. But as long as we're winning in primetime it's at least a hell of a lot of fun.

I'll also offer that Sotha's EP has some really good players, but it's mostly tiny groups that don't want to win the map that all think they're in charge.

When we work together, at all, with anything even like even pop, the DC die in droves. We need to do more of that.

Yeah that was good PVP last night, thanks EP who were there!

We've had a bit more EP lately and DC seemed lighter the past couple nights, great PVP, ton's of fun.

We woke up to the map looking like it did when we went to bed, which was pretty good if you were EP...A PTS member told me that Kilosaur kept an open pug group up all night. I guess the DC night crew couldn't handle having actual players online.

DL, PTS, M4D are also on the server and I am not saying anything is wrong about their contributions on the server, but EP does need help on Sotha as Pug has stated in his post. There are many nights during the week when we log in the map is blue and we see no sign of any other EP guild on the map. We do need more EP outside of people's regularly scheduled raid nights. The morning crew that use to fight there would help as well. Yes, I understand people have real life and there are still things you have to do in game like farm mats, etc., but I also wonder what happened to the guilds that pvp daily?

The last game update is one of the best in a long time in terms of overall game balance. Everyone who has paid attention and played in the last week or two knows this. The argument could be made that some builds still have healing that is a bit much, but ZOS has said they are on the trail of dialing back healing.

Yeah, if we had *1 more* semi-strong or strong guild on Sotha, EP would be competitive. We have good players, just not enough. I keep hoping one more EP Vivec guild will come over but...doesn't look like it will happen. It's a shame, the PvP on Sotha really does feel more dynamic and balanced to me. My guys and gals would rather stay and be underdogs than re-home, if that tells you anything.

Yes, in my opinion, the last game update has been one of the best.

Meanwhile that 140 EP que has long gone away - and not because of all the empty campaigns that were added - and the few PvE raiding friends I have left are here for the same reason I am: we enjoy the company of friends and play purely for personal goals and fulfillment, rather than anything the game provides us.

Until ZoS actually invests its time and resources making PvP something other than a merry-go-round the emperor ring that turns into a lagfest with eternal loading screens should more than 30 people get into close proximity, we couple hundred PvPers are a niche audience playing a game (or at least a part of that game) that is more accurately a cult favorite than a AAA standard.

The combat in this game has never been the main issue. On the contrary, the combat has been the game's strengths - even going back to the mixed reviews ESO had at release, PvP combat was singled out for praise.

PvE is much better than at release. Although I still think the Champion System is dumb and there isn't anything driving competitive end-game raiding.

Performance has always been this game's albatross

Oh, I'd say there are issues with combat. The TTK is super low. Not the lowest it has been, but still very low. It's just a mess, of multiple factors contributing to and feeding on each other. I might have to update that one thread to explain some of these things...

Running around in a ok end game build, no monster set procs, no destro ult or whatever, this last update has been much more enjoyable combat wise for me. Even going up against the ESO "pros" sponsored by Doritos and Trojan condoms. The only thing that I believe is still not balanced (at least in CP, I haven't played or paid attention in no CP) is healing and over the top tanking. DPS feels pretty balanced actually. Seems the formula most are using right now is to hide behind the cover of heavy armor/tankiness and bathe in heals and then attack after. Whereas in the past it was all stack damage and just blitz someone. But as I said above, ZOS has stated they are looking to tone down healing. Hopefully they continue tweaking in weekly maintenance patches.

Also, I've always been jealous that the other two factions fight as one. Oh there are of course a lot of exceptions, but in relative terms they do a much better job of this as we do. And we must do it, since there are so few of us.

EP on Vivec does a little better job of this. I mostly play no CP, but one night last week on CP EP had FIVE keeps or outposts flagged...They got together and zerged down one siege at a time and in the whole thing only lost 1 keep. Sotha EP, I love you guys, but we would have tried to defend 3 and lost all.

I still prefer sotha, where folks try to play tactically. I remember thinking in vivec "OK," siege broken, AD in DC's back, someone's gonna flag bleaks and then we'll get chal." But they seemed to just barrel on down the line XD.

I talk to people I used to see in no CP and they mostly went over to CP because I guess it was more balanced pop-wise and they prefer that.

But by far the biggest number of people I used to play with left to play other games and do other things.
