Elemental Rage looks different/incomplete when someone else casts it

Hey all,

Just wondering if there's an option I missed somewhere that controls this... when I cast an Elemental Rage ulti (Thunderous Rage IV) I see lightning and swirls around the area. But my friend only sees the swirls, no lightning. Likewise, when he casts the flame version, I only see orange swirls whereas he sees the swirls and bits of lava/rock falling from the sky.

It actually makes the effect overly subtle imo, and I have to question whether a person in my group has already cast their ulti or not because I can barely see it amongst the chaos. My settings are all on high, not sure if particle sliders are what I need to crank up or not: http://i.imgur.com/ZWs6XhO.jpg

    @ShinWow have you read the latest patch notes? They have changed the level of graphics team mates see. Help with lag / FPS etc and see what's going on

    In an effort to reduce the visual effect noise in group combat situations, we’ve hidden most visual effects from persistent damaging area of effect abilities cast by your allies. Area of effect abilities that have a synergy, healing, or defensive component that can benefit you will still be visible, and area of effect abilities cast by enemies will also still be visible.

    Would be nice if this was made an option instead of forced.

    It's made tanking abit more difficult, since it's hard to tell if there's friendly aoe to keep the boss in. It would have been much nicer to make it a toggle.

    Yeah, there should be an option to enable and choose colors for friendly AOE zones.

    In some cases the swirling grey effect is hard to notice, some other effects disappear completely after the initial cast.
