Well it's been just over 5 hours since the servers went down, I'd imagine it should hopefully be up in the next couple of hours?

The "sort" of ETA you request can be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or more hours. You never know unless a CM states how long aprox.

that should be required on all Maint or DLC, would be nice to know to plan your day etc, vs sitting with you thumbs up your ass (although that at least feels good)

I get expecting to play a game at a certain time.

But, unless I'm wrong, you don't have to plan times to play the game, or schedule it in. And even if a part of your day is for video games, then that doesnt mean if you can't get on ESO your day is ruined...

The way I grew up, and the way my kids are, if one game isn't working, then you just play a different game. Granted, growing up a game not working was usually fixed by blowing dust out of the game cartridge... =p. I just got an image in my head of the devs

I work from home, and check https://eso.xc.ms/r/1 on my other tab all the time, bc I love to play this game too. I will keep crafting or whatever, even just keep the game up to chat with my guild, while I work.... but the game going down just mean hey, maybe play some skyrim or oblivion if you need a TES fix, or, some other game?

Lord of the Rings Online, the f2p, is worth it just for playing when this game is down. I played that game for many years, like 10 almost, and then retired it to play this this year in March. I say play that, or another MMO. If I hadn't over-played LOTRO I'd play that during down time.

There. My downtime rant. And I just saw all the servers except the mac/pc are up...
