The Honourable Ebonheart has done it again!
From day one the odds were against us! EP being the only faction to not pop lock ONCE during campaign unless it was due to DC and AD using their Alts to group que them in. #factionlock :S
The campaign started rough, with AD coming off an unexpected win their potential was a real threat. Though the temptation was there, EP never resorted to cheap tactics like resource flipping before eval. That was left to the honourless AD and DC though they would need more than cowardice to overcome the strength of the dragon.
The very mortar in the walls of Chalman is made with the spilled blood of Daggerall soldiers…ohh wait sorry that’s Kings crest. The Alessia bridge is blocked with the bodies of the Aldmeri. There was no penetrating the Ebonheart lines, and not because of the penetration nerf.
The points were so close early on but we dug in. In spite of the population influx from the mid-year mayhem strongly advantaging the other factions more than EP we prevailed! In spite of the other factions being the only factions to ever run 24 man groups while EP never ran more than 6 (proving small-scale the superior meta), we prevailed! In spite of all our veteran players re-rolling to other factions and the competitive parity being stacked against us, we prevailed!
When the zone chat of DC was filled with epic role playing and story telling, and the AD zone filled with trolling you require a google translate for, ours was only filled with the co-ordination of guilds and thoughts on strategy. In spite of our poor communication we prevailed!
Yellow and Blue had almost all their zergs running the cheap meta of negate, destroy ult and permafrost while EP honourably defied this meta, purposely hindering themselves to maintain this honour, only running metas approved and defined by ESO’s famous faces.
Then the darkest of days came, inducing memories of antediluvian evils unbeknownst to most of this generation. DC resorted to using unprecedented zergs and lag switches to lag the server for everyone except themselves, constantly taking keeps by forcing the server to lag ... GG Blizzard. Those 90 man raids to take Kings were the crux of their map control strat, due to Kingscrest being worth 100 points. It was during these bleak times that the lag switchers took 1st, but EP persevered and overcame their night-capping and lag-switching. EP regained 1st triumphantly and meted out justice to the DC upstarts, who returned to Kings more often than they did to their mother's house to ask for money. No, you shall not have any sort of morale boost or easy currency, heathens!
Luckily for EP, the strength of the oceanic team, consisting of 1 bar of unorganised pugs and no guilds, repeatedly stymied team green's efforts to bleed points during oceanic prime time. During the day, EP reclaimed all that blue had stolen with their lag tactics, and they wore down the blue tricksters, the counterfeit greek yogurt manufacturers, the false AP gainers, and the PED crew. Oceanic EP were a brutal unicorn dismantling the aspirations of the tricksters and helped EP reclaim the lead for the glorious peoples of the dragon. Praise Dee Tick!
So even with more eyes on EP's 1st place spot than Tupac ever had on him, we still did it guys: we won Vivec again.. Red has reigned supreme, the best alliance of all, even with the others always outnumbering us, working together, crashing the server and using all sorts of tricks. In the end...
EP WINS!!!!!!
