Question on Vampire feeding

Why do I have to take my weapon out to feed when it has nothing to do with the animation? The synergy pop up, I push the feed button, I should feed! Not unsheathe a damn weapon.

    Because the animation is the same as the drain essence skill.

    It's because it's a combat related move. Anything that puts you in combat draws your weapon.
