Just ran a dungeon with randoms. One guy is collecting Hircine gear set, which is not very popular set. I and a CP 600+ healer gave every Hircine we got, for free. A CP170 DPS got a divines sash, and want 2k.
Actually, he is not the only greedy noob I've met. And I found 99% greed guys are noobs. That's why I don't like noobs, I don't want to help noobs, I want to kick every noob from dungeon.

on this game i rather feel like if you ask for something you are greedy and if you charge for something you are greedy, but you refuse someone who asks you are a jerk...

    its very odd this eso...
"The red pill and its opposite, the blue pill, are a popular cultural meme, a metaphor representing the choice between:

Knowledge, freedom, uncertainty and the brutal truths of reality (red pill)
Security, happiness, beauty, and the blissful ignorance of illusion (blue pill)"

I have notice this too same when you craft gear they want purple quality rarest most expensive style with ur mats for free. If you don't do it ur an elitist jerk.

Most common response I get from them is "when I'm at ur cp and rich I will do everything for free" most these people quit a few weeks in.

No, the greedy noob doesn't need the gears, and he refused to help ppl who need.

More than one time, a noob begged u 5 mins to buy your Mazzatun motif at 10k, but when you want to buy his perfect roe, he asked for 20K. LOL.

Idk if i agree, i feel like a newer player has more of a reason to be "greedy".

They are new just starting out most likely broke and probably dont know how to make gold so they will try whatever they can. Where as a vet player who is loaded has all the gear sets master crafter blah blah etc. acouple of gear pieces mean nothing to you.

Its really all a matter of perspective and as a vet player with tons of experience and know how you lose the noob mentality of wanting to squeeze as much gold out of anythig you can.

That being said it is still annoying especially when you're being more than generous with you drops.

Stuff that's of no use to you you give away for free. That's a given. You don't get medals for it. CP level has nothing to do with this. A higher-CP player has no more rights to charge gold than a lower-CP player, so mentioning that a CP600 gave away for free makes no sense. If you somehow think you are doing people a favor playing with them as a CP600, that's the wrong way of thinking. No one asked you for a favor.

As for noobs being more greedy, that's probably not true, but if it is... it might have something to do with the fact that noobs take forever to catch up to vets. I don't even know what max CP is but I've seen people with 1300+. It will take me a year to get there playing 5-6 hours daily. Sure I could spend all my time gringing dungeons, but I did that up to CP200 and I'm sick and tired of it now.

On the topic of money, I have guild mates making 3-5 mil weekly. No idea how they do it, I could probably make 3-500k a week if I spent all my time farming resources. I suspect it has something to do with vets having better ways to make money. Anyway, I just think that if some vets took the time to remember how frustrating it was as a new player to catch up, when the average CP in your guild is 600+... Maybe noobs can get away with being greedy. :P

To be fair, I've got a guild member who will gleefully pop up asking for whatever weird neatness I got before I know I received it. That part is a little creepy.

I mean, I've got auto loot on, so I'll slurp down a corpse, and then immediately get, "Hey, Starke, can I have those boots?"

    2. The person was incredibly bad. The payment was for me dragging the person through.

Often people who use the add on to look at other players' loot get an attitude that because they can see the loot they are somehow entitled to it.

If I don't want something, I'll link it. If you use that add on and ask me for my loot, I'll not give it to you whether I need it or not. I find it rude and obnoxious.

If its gear you need for an alt you keep it.
No issue with an healer farming an stamina set. Even asking in chat.
If someone need ebon and you might make an tank someday you give, if no want you keep in case you want to make an tank.
The tank is likely so far in the future ebon might not be bis anymore.

Rater too few people sharing, i farm nWGT for spell power cure, rarely people give,
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

2k is hardly greedy, and newer players need a way to male income. Unless you declare you giving away gear at the start for free or not, or that you need Gold or not then. No harm

I solely ran a few Trials back in the day to make money for. Selling gear. Mates run, clearly free, PUG willing to pay 100k+ for VO / IA gear, is a good earner.

I still consider myself a noob, but due to the fact that I have an almost obsessive need to play through this game slowly, picking up everything, talking to everyone etc I've managed to collect quite a large array of crafting materials and the like, I even have excess in items like perfect roe, aetherial dust and kuta - which my character is nowhere near ready to utilise.

I see players on the chat asking for items such as tempers and trait stones, and I usually send them some without charging - with a message that says something along the lines of 'Have these for free - enjoy the game'.

I have no problem doing this, but what really bugs me if when they make no effort to reply - just a thanks would suffice - but there are some players who have accepted my gifts and then completely ignored me. I couldn't imagine doing that to another player.

Tiny bit petty. Also prevents you from asking for sth that others may not know you need.

That said, I always ask at the beginning for what I need and what anyone else wants.
