Hi guys, it's been a while since I had anything fun to report and I do want to give you a shout out for what you did with Infallible Aether. Yes really, I know you want to patch it but I do believe you'll make an huge mistake. In fact, I kind of believe you should look at all your other raid set and try to do the same.

Yes for the first time IN ALL THIS GAME HISTORY (or at least since a really long time), a 5 pieces bonus from raid is actually usefull !!! I don't know if you understand how it feel ! I know the statement in all this game history is a big strong but as far I can tell VO is the only set which have been played by the right player as Best in Slot and it's rude. I really do hope you catch up on this and start looking at all your set and try to make it happend.

It would be nice that stam dps build start using alkosh instead of tanks or that twillight remedy start being use again or that even Eternal yokeda get look as a maybe... I really enjoyed this game for his diversity but I do hate how it gets nerf down. The fact that raid set are accessible (yes they are) make it even more fun to acquired. I would really enjoy if you took an hard look to all your raidset and try to bring some kind of buff which would make them 5pc BiS.

That's funny cos I hear it's always TFS + Hundings/nightmothers etc.
Vo BiS for VMA.

Regarding IA I too would like sets to not be nerfed but I doubt they'll do that, nerf incoming.

I run 5-piece IA and I completely agree with you. Sadly, I heard they are going to nerf the 5-piece IA crit bonus. It wasn't supposed to be as high as mother's sorrow, apparently. The 5-piece crit bonus from IA should only be the same as a 2-4 piece bonus from other gear (so like ~800 or something).

I hope they don't nerf it. Trial gear SHOULD be BiS for PvE... otherwise what's the point of trials. This game has way too much lateral progression.

The 5p bonus is actually useful in a few cases where bosses can't be set out of balance. But at some point, when they changed the destro staff skills to include that effect, it made them glitch so nobody wanted to use the 5p any longer. AFAIK they fixed that problem and IA is pretty decent if run on the front bar with vMA staff on back bar. They will probably make the spell crit bonus 833 to bring it in line with other sets so the nerf won't be that big.

I love that they accidentally overbuffed the set I was already using 5 pieces of on my sorc (mostly because I think it looks good). But it's really the other bonus that needs a change, minor vulnerability isn't that useful when you already have a lightning staff.

And yeah why can't sorcs have a trial set that's BiS for once, and not just with 3 pieces...

Moondancer 5pc was BiS for a long time on a lot of builds.

Annd here's why I have a set of each for my NB. I used Alcast's build with sorrow of a m, farmed my stuff, paid for gold tempers and like the next day, he's changed the build because at the moment IA is better...I don't have time to game, work, mom, wife and live and theorycraft for myself (other than look for other heads that have the same boni, etc) - so I use builds by folks I trust.

So when the error with IA happened I do admit I was annoyed to have farmed all that Mother stuff (I just came back like 4 days before HotR) and 'golded' it all, but also glad I already had the IA pieces in my bank from before...

Don't rebuild your gear based on the current IA stats because they are definitely subject to change.

If you have them kicking around your bank already, may as well use them whilst you may- since there was no other point before.

I would meanwhile get your SotM pieces together...they're relatively easy to farm unless you need the sword.

Not only was the 5-set much stronger back in the good old days, but the enchants in gear from hardmode were actually 10% stronger than any other Kuta enchant in the game.


Good times, sad they had to ruin it.

Yup, they should reconsider, having a clear winner is after all what MMO are all about. Getting a bunch of average pick is what makes normal gear interesting but a clear winner while struggeling through well known objective is really the way to go for end-game.

Create some limitation to the gear you can have in normal, like let's say ring and weapon aren't dropping in normal, and create somehow a good drop rate for good association weapon/sets for veteran and bring up an optimistic one for hm....


Oh Oh I know add a token shop for HM trial (like not only last boss hm, but all the trial HM) !

IA as well as other sets do drop in normal too. Just the jewelry is blue instead of gold.
