Stealth damage question

Hi guys I am sure this has already been asked here but I cannot find it.

I play a Magblade and see that attacking from stealth with a magic damage attack does not cause a stun. But attacking from stealth with any class with a physical damage ability does cause a stun... Such as snipe or even power of the light on stamplar, Is this intended or some kind of bug that will ever be fixed?
