I have the same exact problem on one of my daggers. Says 2/3, but my dagger has the "cancel Research" below it, even though it's NOT under research. I reported it, but still no fix.

So that script worked, but then when i logged in a bit later it was back to being broken, and the new dagger I put in for research was gone. So I am hopeful that nobody else lost any items, but my defending dagger is gone, and its stuck again saying my daggers are done, but they aren't.
