It would be nice if ESO were to give us something for this extended downtime. I remember back in the Star Wars Galaxies days, when they would have unexpected or extended downtimes they would have a double XP weekend. Or have the GM's come in and do some cool events. Why can't this game do the same thing? Would show that you actually value your customer base.
The servers were taken down to fix an exploit, it should be the accounts abusing the exploit that pay the other players if they had reported it rather than using it an emergency maintenance would not be needed.

How does that make any sense? It was the devs fault that the exploit existed in the first place. I'm just looking back at a time where game companies actually did cool things for their customers when they had to take the servers down because they messed up.
