For Pvp?
I use:

3 agility
5 bone pirate
2 Selene
1 VMA 2H
1vma bow (masters if u have)

Tristat glyphs
Blue mag and stam recovery
Serpent mundus (will maybe use warrior next patch with recovery glyph)

I like having good magic sustain it depends on the player, for instance many would rather run dubious Cameron throne with bone pirate and forgo the magic regen it's all about preference.
I find though in open world that the stamblades with bad mag recovery are easy pickings usually.

If your looking to make crafted set, Hundings or NMG will probably be very good still for a long while. There's several other trials, overland and dungeon sets that pair very nicely with it. Spriggans, Briarhearts, VO, TFS, Agility, Viper, Shadow Walker, etc.

My best setup ATM is Hundings/TFS/Veledrith. My twice fanged snake is still 2 purple jewelry. Legendary weapons.

5 body - 4 eternal hunt, 1body of other set
1 bow - eternal hunt
3 jewels- senche/viper/spriggan etc any set you like
2H - set of your choice (make sure it comes in jewellery)

I also have a full set of eternal hunt, bone pirate and a few other sets that i have been mixing and matching. Of the sets i have tried this seems to be the hardest hitter.

NMG and spriggan is a good combo. Throw mark and focused aim, and a power glyph.

Bad thing is it won't work on shield stackers.

Playing dw/2h build for like a year now

Nothing will give you better survivability than Eternal Hunt set, it's also great source of damage if you learn to use the mine that it drops properly + it gives you nice stamina regen.

As for monster set Selene is still probably the best option.

Rest is optional, some people like spriggan, some like bone pirate and other like agility + vma/master - all options are viable.

You want to have magicka regen as close to 1k as possible.

Also since you don't have speed bonus from bow passive then I highly recomend using a potion that gives speed bonus - Blessed Thistle + Columbine + Namira's Rot gives you immovable, speed and stamina regen.

I use dw/2h. I'm also 5-1-1 heavy. Seventh legion brute five piece both bars. Spriggans five front bar and four back. Back bar is my buff heal bar. I find troll King is best for monster, gold food great too as above @KennyFknPowers said, 1000 mag Regen is important. I find this works well. However, with update, hundings probably better or just as good as spriggans, just can't get hundings jewelry so you would lose Stam and gain health. So I stick with spriggans.

But if you want max dam, I believe two kena, clever alchemist, and ravager set is highest weapon dam possible. When all proc. Cheers

I am rocking almost the same setup, but 1h 6m, powered vMA bow on backbar, and slightly different skillbars... and with cloak on backbar... works great.. would recomend.

With all the well fitted your dodge cost is lower than medium in impen with decent dmg. Quite tanky.
