I'ma let you finish but update 3.14 was the greatest patch of all time.

I mean seriously you managed to make 3-4 usable mundus stones( Shadow, Warrior, Apprentence, Lover, even Thief), 4 usable weapon traits (Sharpend, Infused, Precise, Nirnhorned). You made crafted sets some of the best sets julianos and torags.

Then you just last minute change the whole thing without any testing....

Don't get me wrong this is still a good patch it is just that 3.14 was better... that is what is so frustrating. It is comparing what could of been with what is. So it is hard to say man this is good when it was better a week ago.

    I do think crit had a very slight edge over other stats. Toning it down a little was the right idea. It was the over-nerfing of multiple crit-related things that created the problem.

    They could have done any one of these things and it would have probaby been fine:
    - Drop shadow 2%
    - Set Precise/Thief to 8%
    - Go with the 21% increase only in set bonuses.

    I would of gone with just the 21% increase only in set bonuses and kept the others. Getting 100-90% crit was too easy on 3.14.

    I hope next update they unnerf shadow and buff precise.

    I was testing Shadow and Apprentice mundus stones on my magsorc yesterday.

    Shadow mundus
    non-crit dmg: 2.8k
    crit dmg: 5.6k

    Apprentice mundus

    non-crit dmg: 3.0k
    crit dmg: 5.6k

    The mundus thats supposed to improve crit dmg gives the same crit dmg as the mundus that buffs spell dmg.

    I dont know how ZOS comes up with these numbers but it doesnt make sense.

    Untested last minute changes are bound to be bad. ZOS thought it would be a good idea to buff a bunch of stuff for the PTS, and then keep it consistent throughout all of the PTS updates only to completely rebalance it once HotR reached the Live servers. It's so messy tbh

    But hey... at least the next major patch will only take 3 months to release :smiley:

    I also like pie.
    Since 3.14 is pi, everyone's happy.


    Oh, and if you look at 3.14 in the mirror, it spells PIE.

    The thing that confuses me is that all the tests showed like 0,5-2% strength difference between mundus stones, sets and traits. You'd expect things to stay the same when its so close. Instead, balanced mundus stones, sets and traits get nerfed into uselessness.

    Precise was finally looking somewhat decent, now its bad again.
    Shadow and Thief are useless, Mage isnt affected by %increase so the value is low.
    Apprentice is affected by %increase so is really good...

    I dont understand any of these last-minute changes but Im not surprised they're unbalanced af.
