I installed the new patch, and my game crashes upon startup now.
I've deleted all of my addons in hopes that it would be a fix.

Anyone have anything that could help me out?
World's First Planesbreaker
World's First Bugged Planesbreaker
World's First Dawnbringer
World's Third Godslayer
World's Second Immortal Redeemer
World's Third Gryphon Heart

Deleting addons was worth a try. Next, try a repair. If that doesn't help, it's worth trying to do a complete uninstall and reinstall, if your internet link is fast enough. The forums also have some settings.ini file tweaks that you could try, but they should be unchanged from before and it's unlikely to help. Good luck!

I know this probably isn't the case anymore, since you have been playing fine till now... But make sure you have installed all optional updates in Windows Update. That was causing this very same issue for me when the Homestead patch hit. And I tried everything else and this finally fixed it.

This happens for me after most patches with a decent size. I usually end up repairing 5-6 times and shutting down computer 4 times. After trying this for 7 hours I finally log in and it's close to midnight. Sigh.

Yep, Keep your OS system patches up to date. Also, update your video drivers.

I wouldn't recommend that. At the very least anyone who claims installing optional Windows Updates fixed a problem need to be able to confirm exactly what the problem was (and when) and which update it was that fixed it. There are all manner of optional updates including drivers and firmware updates that really shouldn't be installed through Windows Updates but from the manufacturer and only then when recommended by them.

I'd try a client repair, a computer restart, and a full reinstall before considering any role Windows Updates might play (which is very unlikely to be the case in my view) and I'd also check out the forums a lot more too. How can people recommend optional Windows updates as a solution when they don't even know which version of Windows you're running?
