ZOS_BilladminDo you still have access to the Dark Brotherhood DLC? If not, that could be a reason for your progress being lost.
If you have ESO Plus and lose access to your DLC, log out of the game entirely and wait a few minutes before logging back in.

i unplugged my xbox and left unplugged for a few hours. Came back and everything had returned.0
