Disable "feed on enemy"

I hope I'm right in saying there isn't an option. After I accidently fed on an enemy today instead of using blade of woe, I skimmed the options and didn't find an option to disable this.

At which point, I'd like to have this implemented. I was highly annoyed by this mishap which reduced my vampirism. It's not the first time it's happened either.

I could "take my time" before I plan to use blade of woe, however sometimes we gotta act fast. It's highly frustrating incurring a bounty and having to fight a bunch of people while trying to stay stealth.

I don't feed on enemies and don't want this option. It's would be nice to have an option to turn this feature off.

If you're on PC, download the Vampire's Woe addon. It takes care of this for you.

And yeah, it should be a built in feature.

In that case, all I can do is give you my sympathies. :( It is super annoying when you accidentally feed, especially on a Dark Brotherhood mission. Suddenly you've gotten detected, and you've even lost your vampire stealth speed bonus. Please fix ZOS.

Exactly. I'm always vamp 4 so when I lost it the first time I was stressing because I weren't stealthing and I was sneaking really slow, and I wasn't used to it that way haha

There is no option on console and we are over due for one .

A few things that can help prevent it in the meantime...

    1. Distance - Blade of woe requires being closer then vampire feed . Get close to targets to avoid the feed and ignore the first prompt while approaching .
    2. Avoid Stairs - Distance of X Y & Z axis gets mixed up on stairs and can unexpectedly swap prompts back and forth . Do not use Blade of Woe on them if possible .
    3. Avoid corner - As with stairs NPCs can turn and move faster or slower suddenly around corners . Make sure to be right at the NPCs feet from behind if assassinating around corners .

Vamp stage advances when you use vamp abilities, so if you accidentally lose vamp4 due to feeding, you can find some quiet corner and spam mistform for a while, that will put you back at stage 4 pronto.

    This!

Doing this will get you back to Stage 4 in 1-2 minutes, depending on how much mag you have.

Bumping this for the love of Lamae Bal.
Please, do something about the Vampire feeding and blade of woe. This proximity "fix" you implemented a while ago is just not working out, there is always that slight movement that causes me to feed instead of stabbing someone. Feeding or BOW needs to be binded elsewhere.
Anyone also have the issue of having to press the synergy to feed twice? My characters just twitch the first time.

Yeah, this and Prevent Accidental Stealing should really be in the options somewhere. Those two are both vital Quality of Life systems that really shouldn't be locked behind the API.

I'm happy, because both Dark Brotherhood and Vampires must suffer for what they are doing. They deserve that. Hahaha!
One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

On a somewhat unrelated note isn't it kind of strange that vampires grow stronger by abstaining from blood? You would think going on a gluttonous bloodletting spree would cause a vampire to grow in strength, not visa versa. Granted, from a gameplay standpoint absolutely it would be a pain in the nuts to feed repeatedly everyday. But from a lore standpoint, it goes against everything vampires outside of TES are. But maybe that's the point, maybe TES vampires were written this way on purpose

It'd be nice if you had to hold block + synergy to feed or consume. It'd make targeting the right thing way easier.
