He had an Xbox 360 and Oblivion at the time,was still using my PS, One day I went up to his and he was playing this game where you would travel this world and fight monsters etc after about 2 weeks just watching him I ended up getting my own 360 and a copy and well they say the rest is history
My first ever Elder Scrolls character was an Argonian called Traxis, I wish I still had the save files to go back and see how he was doing
I must be the only person not to have played the earlier ES games before Oblivion, I need to go back and play MW one day
Its ok your not the only one! My love for the Elder Scrolls started with Oblivion. I was still on my PC at the time but my Brother bought a copy of the game for his ps3. He kept going on at me about how amazing it was so I thought i'd see what all the fuss was about...thats when it began.
I love Skyrim and eso but Oblivion will always be my favourite ES game. I still believe it has one of best storylines of all time

The Freedom to carve your own character how you want it to be and the depth of lore to accompany it are cool. That and the level of exploration to accompany it.1 -

But then after giving Skyrim a real chance (and not just run around with Godmode and kill everyone in Whiterun) I grew to like how TES does medeval fantasy, it has just about enough of everything to give it that fantasy feeling I want from this genre.
To my defense before Skyrim was released I was too bussy playing WoW so I didn't have the time to give any of the earlier games a fair chance. It even took a few years after Skyrim's release before I got around to play it. (story of my life. I discover/try something relativley late, then I fall in love with it)1 -
