Steam

I have been playing (and I assume paying) ESO through Steam. Is it possible to play (and pay for) the game outside of Steam? I really don't want to give Steam any money for this game.

If you bought ESO from Steam then you're stuck with it. If you bought it from ZoS/Bethesda then you don't need it.

What do you mean by giving money to Steam? Most of the purchases are cheaper when done via steam at least for me.
If you want me to reply to your comment type @Ankael07 in it.

Historically in this game steam has been a far cheaper way to acquire content. If I could convert my ESO (which predates ESO on steam) I would. ZOS never gives it's non-steam subscribers the ability to buy content at the prices that the steam folks have gotten it.
I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

I find it cheaper to go through ZoS and avoid Steam like the plague, but I'm not using USD.
