I just noticed this about pickpocketing

I have been playing since beta and just noticed this.

If you pickpocket a NPC and then another player kills that NPC you get a loot drop from the NPC.

You couldn't pickpocket npcs since beta, only since they released the thieves guild I think.

Yeah it's a pretty sweet deal, especially for people who don't have access to the Blade of Woe.

I did quite well for myself when new furnishings came out, going around pickpocketing in popular farming spots and letting other people do the shankin'.

Also meant I wasn't directly competing with other people for shankin' honors. And my bounty was much more manageable.

They fixed that one, last I checked. Pickpocket them empty, and get a buddy to Blade of Woe them, might work, though.

As far as I'm aware, pickpicketing was possible since at least the launch of the console version, which was almost a full year before the release of the Thieves Guild. I remember grinding gold from the justice system before I knew how much mats sold for.

Here's a fun fact you can use invisible pots while looking sloten items and it does not break sheath.

Best "rotation" for most NPC's is pickpocket, pickpocket and then blade-of-woe them as most have only three slots available (there is one NPC that I know of that can be looted four times ...)

Yeah, the Justice system was added with 1.6. Same time that CP was added. I still, kinda, remember the beta, where we had 3600CP templates. That's also when Legerdemain and the civie clothes were added.

I'm not entirely sure, but i know for a fact that you couldn't in the pc beta since I played then and during launch (though I quit for awhile since then.)
