Suggestion - Chat Scroll Timer

The other day the group was getting ready for trial. All were in discord and just BSing. I was just listening not chiming in, being my silent self. After a few minutes the leader says well im not getting a response from OC he must be afk. I respond, I am right here.
Well he sent a tell and i didn't see it because i had scrolled up to read a message i missed. Not readjusting it the bottom, i missed his tell.
After hearing others in the raids stories of missed messages, I thought why is this not on a timer.
Would it be possible to get an adjustable timer so after x amount of time it resumes to scrolling.
