Stamplar sustain is horrible

Stamplar sustain is really bad. It's seriously hampering my enjoyment of the class in battlegrounds in particular, because I can't sustain without CPs. Medium armor is useless as a primary setup in PvP (at least for templars) so I've been using 5 heavy 2 medium. I'm using Eternal Hunt (2x regen), Bloodspawn (1x regen), and agility jewelry with three sustain enchants but I still can't keep stamina. Heavy attacks are useless in this scenario as well because they're hard to land and other people won't stop their damage to let you restore stamina.

So a simple suggestion; change Channeled Focus in the same way spears and orbs were changed and make it restore your highest resource pool instead of just magicka. Maybe even give it a very small restore for the smaller pool as well. 10-20% of the primary or so. That would encourage versatility in PvP because magicka templars in light armor are a joke with no stamina sustain.

I run a stamplar in BGs with 2 regen sets bonuses, 2 regen jewelry glyphs, and serpent mundus. This alone would not be enough, but with repentance minor regen buff and restore from corpses, I manage to get by on my dual wield set up. I have no problems with sustain on my 2 Hander set up because, on top of what I've already mentioned, you get the +30% regen boost on kills from 2H passives.

    *****BTW*****
You might want to run 5med/2heavy for BGs. Your sustain will suck otherwise. With all that stam regen, dodge rolling makes up for the lack of mitigation.

Yeh, you can't run heavy. Go medium. I use ravager weapons and jewellery so get more health that way.

Heavy was even pretty bad on stamplar before Morrowind dropped. I've been in medium for as long as I can remember on it.

Sustain can be a challenge without CP for sure - you should try swapping Agility for Endurance, you might find some relief.

Regarding your Channeled Focus idea -

I would take your idea a step further and make the resource restore mechanic dynamic and have each tick restore either magicka or stamina based on which pool is lower by percentage. Then this morph would be useful for both flavors of Templar while still having the option of the other morph for its tanky benefits.

I've found 1.8k regen to be the lowest I can go in no cp. drop heavy armor for medium. More regen and cost reduction. With penetration heavy doesn't add any more mitigation anyways. Stamplars are one of the best kiting classes because you have acces to a cheap purify to cleanse roots and snares. Get your mitigation from los and dodge roll--not standing and blocking.
