Elegant Bis?

So since i heard pts is out pc i been watching videos to see whats doing better whats doing worse and i have yet to see someone test the elegant set with mag dk or mag sorc.

According to patch notes they fixed a issue with sets that werent stacking percentages.

Im on console so i cant test myself

For mag sorc i would love to know how good this build is: ( overload build )
5 netches body
2 molag kena
3 elegant jewelry
Back bar DW elegant swords
Front bar maelstrom lightening staff

MagDK : would love to see how these sets do together.

5 elegant ( 3 jewelry, head, shoulder )
5 torugs pact ( body )
Vma infused inferno staff front bar
Vma inferno sharpened back bar.

With elegant 20% + DK passive 40% plus 30% from CP tree = 90% heavy attack bonus.

Come on pc people enough with the mother sorrow julianos testing we need you guys to test more sets

Edit: Not 100% sure that elegant stacks with CP would like to know.

OL meta went out the window in Feb dude when they gutted Ultimate down to 500. you can still hit nice numbers but overall its not great since that change. Elegant was the most sought after set, huge money then became worthless, so if this is your build get it now..

Why wait for update anyway, just do it now. Do your own thing..theory crafting is 100% more fun than meta chasing

Ya i know ult is 500 now but that has nothing to do with atleast mag dk..magdk is fine atm but wonder what a elegant heavy attack build can do in raids.

Just because its not BIS for dps doesnt mean you cant use it effectively in a raid.

some groups like to to have those 1-2 dps in group that pull good dps but mainly buff everybody else's dps resulting in having more dps overall in group than replacing that player with a dps that has bis but doesnt buff teammates. Know what i mean?

For example i got a off tank that uses sunderflame ( not alkosh ) in raids to boost the 2 stam dps we got in group .

I think elegant and infallible aether can be a good set for a HA magdk build if played right.

For HA builds, I've had the most success with Undaunted Infiltrator (back bar proc) + Spinners + Ilambris + VMA lightning. The base damage increase from UI combined with the VMA destro enchant is much more powerful than the +20% boost provided by elegant despite the non-optimal +max stam provided by UI jewelry.

Keep in mind HA damage scales 40:1 from spell damage and just 10:1 from magicka. As such, the +max stam from UI isn't as big of an issue as would appear at first. Further, this allows for blue food to be consumed as opposed to purple if stamina would have otherwise been an issue.

Of course, this is more of a solo build meant for VMA rather than for trials. You won't pull max DPS with this build, obviously.

I disagree, they were but it's alot harder now. StamSorc is still easy mode, and stamblade burst had the only 600k+ score on console IIRC

Elegant on a magdk is pretty trash. On pts atm it's all about shadowrend pet Magdk with necropotence. 40k Fiery leaps.

The problem is that the Elegant 5pc bonus only buffs light and heavy attacks. All your other attacks are not affected.

Julianos 5pc bonus buffs all attack (expect pets) which includes light and heavy attacks. So in the end it will buff your overall dps a lot more.

It might work for an overload build but in general I think its better to equip sets that always boost dps.
