I personally love OpenDNS, but I'm using Google DNS on my xbox for one reason...a decent amount of the dungeons won't load properly without it.

I honestly have no idea why, but the last 8 or so original dungeons on the list in-game simply won't work without it.
I discovered this by accident just by playing. Changed to Google DNS one day and voila! All works well.

    Anyways, thought I'd mention it.

I have been using Google 8.8.8.8 for a long time, it has always given me the best and fastest results.

When I changed to Google DNS, 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4... it was like night and day... there was no more of that slight lag when you interact with crafting stations, writ boards... etc...

Edit: Also the rubber banding while galloping disappeared... Its like playing a different game...

Google DNS. Faster load times, better performance overall.

Just get DNS Benchmark or Namebench. Nobody can accurately answer this for you unless they are sitting in your home using your connection. Sometimes public DNS can provide slight performance increases, other times your ISP's DNS will outperform popular public DNS solutions.

Not looking for me to fix anything, just curious on others experiences. I was reading through some Reddit posts on all of the error 200, disconnects, etc. affecting a subset of our community. it made me curious on ESO gamers experiences. I am also studying CDNs and how they interact with DNS.

I basically have none of the issues being experienced over the last few months, except the lag at prime time PVP.

    Thanks everyone your comments!

Other, since there's no choice for "I made no changes and have no problems with the game."

Changed it due to my ISP deciding to block a particular site involving a certain Bay using a DNS block. Had no ill-effects towards running ESO
