Which Mount Suits Me More?

Hey guys

So I recently like a month or so ago subscribed to ESO Plus literally just for the craft bag so all that stuff wasn't taking up my inventory because I loot everyone being a provisioner. So, I now have crown points and I have spent some on the starter pack or whatever it is for the XP scrolls and riding capacity. I still have enough now to buy a decent mount as I don't really want to ride a horse anymore. The only problem is that I cannot decide which to get.

The choices I'm stuck on are the Caver Bear, Highland Wolf, or the Pride-King Lion. I am a Dark Elf Templar and I play mainly as a healer in PUG dungeons. Bears are cool and fearsome but I think it doesn't suit a Dark Elf and they run kinda funny. The wolf is cool also and usually linked to being evil which fits with my Dark Elf Vampire self. But also there is the Lion - undisputed king of the jungle which is pretty cool. I actually have only seen someone on a bear before so I don't even know really what the others look like other than their picture in the crown store. I mean hey, the camel ain't bad either, might be kinda funny.

I just can't decide, which should I get? I mean I guess after awhile getting the crown points each month I can get another but please help me decide!

The wolf is typically thought of as a dark, brooding animal. There is no better animal companion for a vampire imo.

Personally, I find the Guar freakin' adorable, with their cowled helms. The wolves are very nice mounts. When it comes to the cats, I'm a bit biased. I use the Dro-m'athra senche and the tiger senche. The former isn't worth digging into the crates for, and the latter is impossible to obtain now. I'm not really a fan of the bears.

I'm not sure, but consider the following:
    • The bear looks very awkward when running.
    • The wolf is a little stiff, but not as stiff as the horse.
    • The lion, and any big cat for that matter, is the smoothest in motion, not just out of all your choices but out of all the mounts.

Source: Myself. I have all those mounts.

The camel is the worst looking when running imo.

I personally prefer how the big cats move. I would maybe try to find videos of people on the types of mounts you are looking at so you can make sure you won't end up with something that you think moves funny. I also have cats/wolves/a bear/some horses, so I have tried most things and I like the cats the best.

This and the bear, when they are both fully trained and running at full speed they look hilarious but in a wrong meaning. I'd add more solemnity/dignity to their movements.

    My choices are:
Wolf - nice moves and has the best howling sound, it's great when you occasionally group with other players on wolfs and you then howl together like a pack :D .
Lion - like above just more dignity and less sounds.
Guars - best lore friendly and adorable mounts in the game and worth every penny. My favourite is the hist guar because of look of the paintings in the night.

Elk - love the look of it and the antlers, however could not afford it so far.
Nightmare Courser - unique fiery appearance is what makes it so special. I use it for my assassins and when doing DarkBrotherhood quests.

Definitely the cat... The camel and bear make me motion sick with their wobbly gait and the wolf... um... how can I say "your crotch weirdly jackhammers the saddle when running in a violent and painful looking way" without being crass?

Actually, you should check them out on the PTS... that way you get to try them first hand and can make a decision.
