Why do NCPs not take fall damage, nor can be knocked off most ledges anymore?

I used to like knocking NCPs off the edge and watching them fall to their death. For whatever reason ZOS patched this and they just hover above the edge and slowly fall, this is breaking my immersion. I want to knock ncps off ledges and have them take fall damage.

I was in a tower somewhere and I knocked a NCP off (glitched ofF) the ledge but he took no fall damage. I remember in a few dungeons you could knock ncps off the ledge and theyd fall to their death. I really miss that.

Well its an exploit however its an very minor one who has no practical purpose as long as you can not do it on bosses.
Khajiit roll dodges off the platform with final boss in AA again.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

You used to be able to use destructive touch to knock enemies off platforms. Namely Bal Foyen docks. Used to be able to knock mobs off into the water if you didn't want to fight them. Didn't get any xp as they despawned. But it was kind of funny before they fixed it. And made destructive touch available later on.

Pretty sure they do still take fall damage. I knocked an NPC off a bridge in Stormhaven a couple days ago, killing them. Granted, they were already at low health, and it is possible they had a DoT on them that actually finished the job, but... there we are.
