Why does the pc controller support not match the console?

pc controller support stinks. I constantly feel like I should play on xb ok x only because I love chillin on the couch. My of is hooked to the couch and for pve content i would love to play

I have always used my xbox controller on my PC. I'm curious what issues you are having?
I know you need to turn it off to use some add-ons like MM but that's only when I'm at the bank. What issues are you having?

maybe that was my issue. All I know is it was far worse experience than xbox. Especially in the menus and I didn't have controller prompts. It still showed keyboard prompts on my task bar

Add ons most likely, i use the gamepad mode to play and except random freeze at the bank ( due to awesome guildstore) everything is fine

can you use the controller 100percent? Like only controller and no mouse and keyboard, even for menus?

it was steam overlay. I had a setting in steam to treat xbox controller like a steam controller. I turned that off and now it's great.
