I'd like there to be an option in Settings to have a little chime or ding or some sort of non-startling but noticeable notification sound when someone sends us a whisper. If you don't have a humongous chat window, that can get lost very quickly if you've got zone chat on and it scrolls away, or if you're focusing on gameplay on-screen. I always feel guilty when I pull my window up to say something after a good fifteen or twenty minutes of radio silence and notice that someone sent me a whisper asking me a question, who knows how long ago and sometimes may even not be logged in anymore. Certainly don't want to force a noise on people who don't want it, but I'd love to have the option to activate such a thing myself.

It's only there if you use add-ons such as pchat or other UI mods. It is not available in the default UI.
