Idea for sieges(or to prevent someone else using them)

I assume that most of us has encountered a situation where you put your nice tiny little siege weapon to the ground and someone else grabs it in the front of your eyes and starts shooting with it. In some situations it actually doesn't matter that much, for example when sieging a keep wall to get inside. But in situations where you could earn AP by sieging or your siege is taking damage and you can't put it away because someone else is using it, it bothers. My idea is that there should be on option in settings to toggle on/off if your alliance team members can use your sieges or not. That would prevent others taking your siege if you don't want it to be taken. So basically on option to choose if your alliance members can use your sieges or not. What do you think of this?

I feel like it would be too much of a pain in the ass to toggle this on and off based in the situation. While it might be annoying that someone took your siege, the work is still being done so what does it matter? If you're concerned about making ap by sieging then run around and spam caltrops or rapid regen, some other way to get tags.

I suppose in the case of cold fire and someone jumps on it that would be annoying. I can see adding an option to be able to pack up siege without having to be on it

I was just complaining about this the other day. I put down three or so ballistas and by time I fired them all off the first ballista was ready to shoot again. So obviously I didn't want some random person hijacking my orderly way of siege. Yet it happens almost every time I set up.

I wouldn't call for a toggle on or off but just let whoever owns the siege be able to over ride control if someone else takes it.

This would be the best solution, IMO. I WANT others to be able to use my coldfire ballista if I die, but if I'm alive, I want to be able to kick them back off of it.

Exactly. It's my siege and I should be able to kick someone off just by activating the siege as normal.

I try to set up siege to avoid waiting for a reload, so it is very annoying when a random steals my siege.

Apparently some players still think that siege sort of just... appears for them to use. To be fair when I walked into cyro for the literal first time, I was confused where these gigantic siege weapons were coming from, so I guess it's not unreasonable to be confused.

Really, just allowing the siege owner to boot others off the siege would be fine. The game already distinguishes your siege from everyone else's because you can only pack your siege, so I can't imagine it would be too difficult from a development standpoint.

I would like to see a way to prevent multi-siegers :unamused:
If someone lays a second siege, the previous siege they put down should be destroyed if no-one else has got on it.

wrote about this in midyear mayhem event, just dont give the option to other ppl use our 1st siege weapon
if we set another-like oil- then everybody can

some-for reasons not unknown-set many oil machines when siege and we reach max siege with 3-4 ballistas and 2 trebuchet
    this must also change

Since they incresed the amount of Alliance points you get i do not mind all to much when someone else takes my siege.
Just taking the keep wil earn me more alliance points in return.

We often abandon our sieges as soon as the inner opens.
    Time is money Aliance points.

I do think it is irritating when someone takes over my siege and decides to shoot at players on a wall or the ground when in fact i want to siege the wall.

An option for friends and guildmates only would be a good idea.
