The most annoying thing about horses in ESO is that they have a small moment where they slow down after you jump. Its insanely annoying in Cyrodiil. When I switched to the bear mount for my orc, I never switched back. On the bear I can jump and remain running at the same speed when I am jumping or landing from a fall.

Always wondered if certain mounts could avoid this problem. Are there other mounts/heights/bodytypes/personalities/skins/etc etc etc that people have found have provide additional 'buffs' in pvp? Things like being able to fit under arches/bridges that taller characters can't and such.

Horses have great speed on flatlands but a lots of things, (rocks, tall grass, pebbles, jumps, etc) slow them down at times. Senche mounts have good speed and are great at jumps, but lack some maneuverability in turning. Guar are a little slower but have great maneuverability. The differences I've noticed are very slight and are not enough to favor one mount over another. Ride whatever fits your style and costume. :)

For a long time you would gain speed if jumping at the right time on a slope or ledge, in cyrodill this made a huge difference because there is so many bumps and hills you could gain massive amounts of speed off of by jumping. They fixed this a while back ago.

Every mount has the exact same stats. The same applies to how long they stay in the air while jumping and how fast they turn.

Mount speed is same with any mount. positioning creates an illusion of going faster or slower that's no different with cars we drive irl.

The speed might be the same, but the reaction to terrain is not. Different models react differently to different terrain. For some reason the cats and wolves go over little bumps that almost stop a guar in its tracks.

Anyone who pvps has likely noticed that maintaining the same horizontal level while zooming along will maintain forward momentum properly, thus jumping to the exact same height terrain will help maintain speed. Also, some non-ground objects have the "old" physics from launch and can bounce you higher but slow you down if you bounce off them. Many braziers are like this.
