Kicked Before Reaching Character Select

I'm on XBox NA, and when I try to login, I'm dashboarded after I choose which server I want to play on, before I get to the character select screen. Does this have something to do the recent DDoS attacks, or is this something else entirely. Been happening since about 6 pm Eastern.
