The best armour sets would be the crafted sets? Remember that?

That was a stupid idea to begin with. When your endgame content lacks you have to have a way to work around and get people to play. Timed (daily) activities like mount upgrading, hireling mails and researching and a grind for BiS gear.

And why should something that can rather passsively acquired always be better than something you have to work your ass off for?

As much as I want crafted sets to be great, I see why they shouldn't outshine the dropped sets and it was smart of ZOS to change their minds.

I mean if you can simply craft the best gear in the game, for what reason do you have to repeat content ever? Sure grinding for BiS items sucks but that's part of what MMO gaming has always been.

I guess they never really thought out the crafting, I mean they way it was set up it is ridiculously easy to level to max so everyone can craft anything.

Regardless, that is what they said.

Yes, master crafter but it would not make sense.
The only way for it to make sense was if you had to use some hard to get items for the best items, hard as in raid boss drop not just rare. Either to craft special set or as tokens to craft dropped sets.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    This^
The whole crafting system stays far behind it's possibilites. Transmog, jewel crafting or upgrading, trait changing etc. and the way how to level professions and research traits.. it's a simple wait game, nothing too spectacular. But honestly I don't know how they could design the leveling/researching to require more active input.

No I don't rebember , who said that?.

Crafted gear is really good in this game, just a bit worst that BIS looted sets. You can go with full crafted gear have a decent performance in pve and pvp. It is MUCH more usefull than other games I have played.
