Orzorga's Smoked Bear Haunch - Way too Costly to Use

The inclusion of Perfect Roe as an ingredient means that no one in their right mind would actually use this recipe as a self-buff for their character - it's way too costly (both time and gold). Perfect Roe needs to be removed from the required ingredients for anyone to actually use this recipe - why not have the recipe require BOTH bervez juice and frost mirriam instead?

Could be an interesting recipe for hybrid builds, but just isn't worth it because of Perfect Roe.

There are several recipes like this where the cost/benefit of materials to reward is too marginal at best.
    (specifically in filling writs).
And considering how many of these expensive-to-fill writs can be acquired, the drop rate might be too high - edging out writs more likely to be cost effective.

Thats my only beef with the recipe.

You're generalizing too much. I would use it for a tank. I don't know or have any interest in making the psijiic ambrosia so I wouldn't have any other use for perfect roe. And I'm sure there are others as well. It's worth is all in the eye of the beholder.

Fine if you're finding benefit as a food source to augment your game play.

Costs too much to make to fill a writ.

    Just saying.

Just looked up Jewels of Misrule, that's a nice recipe. How does one acquire it?

They need to up the amount of writs provided for doing these. I think they require two perfect roe and the return was 18 vouchers.

I try to sell these along with the ones requiring heijeiko.

I don't even bother to do the writ that demands that particular recipe. I have the recipe on 2 of my crafters, but having to fork out Perfect Roe to complete them is not an option for me. And you need eight....yes eight...of the recipe to hand it in. That's a minimum of 2 Perfect Roe.

    F*** that.

I like it on non-vet characters for PVP - as without champion points, it is hard to get sustain for all 3 stats. And things like heavy armor or nightblade passives adding a % bonus are worthless if your base is zero.

I figure in nonvet your armor is basically "consumable" anyway since you need to upgrade every few levels.

Agree - I would like it to be cheaper to craft.

Well I use it and know some other people who use it too. It's really great for stamblades since our most important skills are magicka based - cloak, fear (why zos?)and having extra magicka regen is really important. Of course I wouldn't mind if it cost less to make :) Also there is always a cheaper version of it - Jewels of misrule, a little weaker and without hp regen bonus.

Hmmmm, i had one master writ that required Hakeijo and it rewarded 37 vouchers, £ for £ one of the most profitable writs i have come across.

I'm glad I'm not an achievement chaser because fishing is painfully boring in ESO (for my taste). If I could dive into the water with my Argonian and hunt the fish while I swim, then I might be interested.

I really can't see what the fuss is about, Perfect Roe is'nt bank breaking if you buy it (heck even an hours gold grinding in a public dungeon will give you enough to buy 2+ roe), if RNG is on your side you can catch it for free in a few minutes, you get 4x pots at a minimum of 2 hours (lots more time with provisioning passives unlocked) buff per pot giving 8 hours buff time (minimum) total per roe.

I used to sell these, but then I started to feel bad for whoever buys them, and the sales prices aren't great anyway. Now I just destroy the Bear Haunch and Prismatic glyph writs.

Ehhh...in completing that for Stonefalls (including Bleakrock/Bal Foyen) and Glenumbra (including Stros M'Kai and Betnikh) I've gotten 6 Perfect Roe. I caught a metric ton of fish to complete just those starting areas.
